Soooooo . . . what did ya'll think??
I loved it, Diddy's bad acting nonwithstanding. I had to keep myself from crying a few times. It's a powerful story and the ladies gave great performances. We needed to see this at this time. They did a great job!

This was great. Diddy was terrible but Phylicia Rashad was awesome!

That scene where Phylicia found out that Puffy had given away the money, I FELT that! You hear me! I felt that in my soul, and I was like it was probably that scene right there that earned her the Tony Award for the play.
Puff's acting was blah. At one point where he got mad he did better, but throughout it was really blah. All the actresses did good.
Hell the little boy acted better then Puffy.

LMAO! True, True! Puffy has a lot of nerve... As hard as he is on his artists. Phylicia Rashad needs to send him to get her a cheesecake.

I didn't think Diddy was bad. Although I do think he did get noticeably better as the movie progressed.
Phylicia Rashad is the woman, and she has aged sooo gracefully. I loved Sanaa's character.

All three actresses did the damn thing-they all deserve Emmys! While Phylicia is the first Black Woman to win a Tony Award for Best Actress in a Drama;also know that Audra McDonald has won FOUR Tonys for Best Supporting Actress...
Sisters doing the damn thing indeed...

I don't think Diddy was awful. He was ok. He could've been better but remember, he was surrounded (except for the little boy) by more established/powerful actors. I think he can get better if he takes some lessons.

What did you expect from Puff who is nto a trained actor? How many of you would get on that stage without correct training , stepping out of your comfort zone? P did ok considering

I missed it....was in TWO meetings Monday night. The folks on Tom Joyner gave Puffy, Diddy, Sleepy, Sneezy or whatever name he's going by these days a hard time.
I know my girl Phylicia rocked!! I saw them on Oprah last week and she might be even FINER now than she was on The Cosby Show 20 years ago...and she was the finest woman on TV back then!!
Diddy was saying on Oprah that he really wanted to do well in that production, because he wanted to disprove his critics. Even though I'm not really a fan of his, I was hoping it would go well for him because he really appeared to be sincere about this new phase of his career. Some of these folks make the leap from hip hop to the movies alot better than others.
Queen Latifah and Mos Def, for instance, will BOTH have Oscars one day....trust me!! Both of them are superb on the screen.
