So I was watching a special on governor Palin last night on CNN. She eloped with her husband and 'almost 8 months later' had their first child. Our Republican, "conservative", morally-sound VP candidate was pregnant BEFORE she got married. Where is all the noise about this? Apparently shotgun weddings run in the family. No wonder she is probably encouraging her 17 year old to do the same. It's the Palin way... Disclaimer: I am not judging her, as we all fall short-each of us in our own way, 'DIVA included. However, I do think that this woman and her family are certainly NOT what the McCain campaign are attempting to portray to the public.

I also have no problem with those who make mistakes, however I have a HUGE problem with a person preaching and willing to ENFORCE laws/priniciples/values that they are themselves incapable of upholding.

People can say "it's a family issue" all day but I just feel like if you can't manage your family correctly then how in the hell are you going to manage an entire country!?!?

I thought I heard hints that she was expecting before she received her band of gold from her "first dude."
Now of course, since she's the new repubba cover girl, their stand on family values will take a new twist and turn, i.e., SPIN. They will now make a claim like, let's see, "At least she married her baby's daddy and didn't become a single mother welfare queen (i.e. like a BLACK woman.)
Codewords, brothers and sisters! Keep your ears open for them.

Historically there are more of THEM on welfare than US if we are being honest. This includes those who didn't need them but got them through loopholes to keep more dough in their pockets. :Smh:

But many of those same backwater, inbred mountain and trailer park dwellers fall for the propoganda that the right spews about black folks having some kind of monopoly on welfare. Read some of these political message boards where some of these folks go to bed at night with Obama on the brain, and then get up the next morning and start all over again! You won't believe your eyes!

One can not "manage" a teenager in regards to having sex short of chopping off penises or providing chastity belts. Teen pregnancy can happen in any family from the white house to your house. Palin's daughter's pregnancy should not be considered in determining if Palin will do well as future president. Her level of experience in politics should be enough to make predictions about her capabilities.

To a degree, nsync, I agree. Every family has issues and no one can absolutely control a horny teen.
Having said that, when you make your personal, religious beliefs an issue to get elected, you open those same beliefs up for scrutiny.
She is a STAUNCH advocate for abstinence ONLY education. She made her daughter a spectical by bringing up the fact that she was getting married as if that somehow made her fucking and getting pregnant ok.
