so Palin has motherhood as one of the points she's running on -- "hockey mom" references, the motherhood/working professional balancing act, and parading her family around in public arenas -- but when she's scrutinized on these things that SHE and the campaign are injecting into this race, the person and/or the entitiy posing the questions are sexist? Is it just me or is anyone else picking up on this? For GOD sakes, WHEN is somebody, ANYBODY going to call her and the campaign on this?? If SHE's making it an issue and an issue she's RUNNING ON no less, then it's FAIR GAME to ask her questions on it!
I really need Chris Mathews or Kieth Olberman to corner this woman and expose her.
unfucking real.......................

Did people get this worked up by Geraldine Ferraro? Did they ask her questions about parenting, motherhood, balancing act? just curious

IDK about Ferraro but if you bring it up then it should be fair game especially if you're trying to use it to your advantage. Them saying everyone is sexist is a freaking cop out. What if another woman in the same situation as her went hard at her, what would they be saying then?
Sometimes I get so tired of people playing the gender and the race card when the real issue is them sucking as a person!

The questions itself seems very silly. Let's get back on the issues.

I agree Aces. The Republican party is advertising her as a Hockey Mom with conservative values, blah, blah, blah...
So even though Obama has taken the high road and not gone after her obvious contradictions between beliefs and practices, the media is held to no such standard.
So Obama sits back and waits....watching to see how long it takes for the "Ship with Many Holes" to sink on its own. LOL!

I am REALLY getting sick of the Republican party harping on the personal attributes of their candidates. McCain is POW MIA! That don't make him qualified to be President. Palin is a hockey mom. That don't make her no better a pick for VP.
The Obama and Biden both had to over come trials and tribulations to get where they are and thankfully, every time they speak, I don't have to hear about them.

Michelle Obama - Two daughters, degrees from Princeton and Harvard Law School, 300K per year job. - Uppity. Sarah Palin - 5 kids, 5 colleges in 6 years, pregnant teenage daughter - Role Model.

OK, wait, I just heard on the Steve Harvey morning show that Palin went out of town on some type of meeting a month before her baby was due and her embryotic (however you spell it) fluid was leaking while she did this, against the advice of her doctor. AND, she went back to work 3 DAYS after her child with down syndrome was born, but you are running on the motherhood theme? That doesn't speak motherhood to me.

I am listening to a conversation on NPR's "Tell Me More" and one of the guests described the Caribouan Queen as FRIGHTENINGLY UNQUALIFIED!That was so appropriate in describing "That Girl" that I think I'll use it from here on out.
