Has anyone seen it? If so, what did you think? I just watched the original which was pretty good.
I never understood why folks remake stuff rather than re-releasing it, but I may go see it and check it out.
Usually remakes suck (IMO), but there have been a few good ones like Thomas Crown Affair, Cape Fear, Red Dragon, etc. I felt those were comparable to the originals.

I saw it - didn't like it. I thought the ending was completely implausible.

Then it probably ended the same way as the original... it wasn't very realistic, but I liked the character. The bad guy was played by Glen Ford. He was good at being bad without really being mean. It's hard to explain but he had a arrogant confidence about him the way he kept trying to get the guy to give up and let him go. I missed the first 10 minutes, but I liked the rest.

I fell asleep watching it on-demand I wanted to go see it at the show when it came out and I'm glad I didn't! Has anyone seen it? If so, what did you think? Team - you didn't miss anything... for you the movie ended the best way possible.
