Nothing about this surprises me! I'm just waiting for the dancing monkeys and clowns to jump out of cars then perhaps the media will draw parallells between the theatrics/antics of a circus and this sham of a campaign! She is a messs and McCain is banking on the American people being RETARDED, like we've been for the last 8yrs (well those that re-elected Bush).
Hopefully we'll prove them wrong!

I am amazed that they feel like the public should just take their word for it that she is qualified. McCain didn't really even know her before he picked her; not that he would have been a ringing endorsement for anybody, I have seen the crowd he runs with. But she just will not talk to reporters...that is the height of arrogance.
I really hope that this election is a landslide in Obama's favor. The republican party needs to do some deep soul searching and fix their party. Their convention was just plain scary. They are the worst hypocrites in the world and I really hope America sends a strong message in November.

I don't know, you guys...I don't know. I wish I had y'alls enthusiasm and optimism. Even after yesterday's strong talking-to from Damie and Frozen, I still don't have a warm, fuzzy feeling. We are smart, educated, well-read and we do our homework and think for ourselves. We read newspapers and magazines. We check out independent websites and we watch C-SPAN. That's why this election seems like a no-brainer to us. But unfortunately, I truly believe that there is a HUGE number of people are just basically stupid and easily-led. They rely on their news from Rush, Hannity and O'Reilly. Some of them don't even do that--they just listen to stuff their brother-in-law or their neighbor tells them. Unfortunately, I'm SEEING Republicans who were not planning on voting this election all of a sudden excited because of McCain's pick. I am seeing people say that they feel this woman is qualified to be president should something happen to McCain ( ). And I remember all of the hype in 2000, and again in 2004. I just KNEW it was a done deal--ESPECIALLY in 2004, after we'd had Bush for four years. I couldn't FATHOM how people could be so dumb. But he was elected both times. I don't know, y'all. I am praying and sending money and registering people to vote. But people are very, very, very, very stupid and easily-led. They're falling for the okey-doke.

EXACTLY--and people who are voting against their best interests. I mean, really. This country put Bush in office TWICE. I don't have much faith in these folks. I wouldn't be surprised if Palin, as flimsy as she is, is all the push people need to energize the GOP and get them to the polls. People are stupid, stupid, STUPID.

They aren't just stupid, they are just riding the wave, and when that sucker comes crashing down, it's gonna be nasty and ugly.

In all seriousness, don't sit around in fear, find the nearest Obama headquarters and VOLUNTEER!!!! We need to get people registered, we need to make sure they have proper ID and on election day we need to be available to take people to the polls and to be poll watchers. After the Republican convention, I realized just how crazy and deranged those people are. I have 2 children and I care about what happens in this country 20-30 years from now, even if I won't be here. We simply cannot take another 4-8 years of republican rule. Obama's best hope is that we have a lot of new voters at the polls this time. I have donated to Obama's campaign, but now I will be giving my time as well as my money. We only have about 30 more days before it is too late. My husband travels a lot so I can't be certain he will be in town on election day. I am going to find out how he can do an absentee ballot this year. EACH AND EVERY VOTE WILL BE NEEDED. Those of us who are educated and understand the issues need to educate our friends and family who may not understand how important this election is.
