I think he should.
There was a report on Huffington Post that said he met with Rupert Murdoch (owner of Fox) and one of the other top guys there to air his concerns 1st.
At the end of the day, Murdoch is a businessman. He knows Obama is going to win, he cannot afford to be denied presidential access for the next 4-8 years. I think O'Reilly will play nice, and I don't think he will distort what Obama says (too much).
A lot of folks watch Fox and some may just think they agree with what they hear because they have not heard the opposing view yet. I think it will help Obama.

He is just going to drag this out to run up his ratings. He kept interrupting Obama. He annoys me.

Barack handled him. His responses were well thought out (though O'Reilly wasn't trying to give him a chance to) and he finished the thoughts that he had and the points he wanted to make.
How many of you all think Palin could stand up to that kind of berating? Clinton did it, Biden could do it, do you think Palin could?

Palin will try to spin it and start talking about Obama.
What's the point in conducting an interview when all you do is bash people for not agreeing with you?
And where are these polls? I'm an American and I've never in my life taken place in one of these polls, lol. But I guess if you poll the people that frequent the Fox News website then they would all say "GO McCAIN and PALIN"
losers...

Meanwhile Barack raises 10 million off of Palin's speech. She is a gift that just keeps on giving. And she won't be able to duck interviews forever. She gon' have to go on Fox - they're the only ones that will treat her with kiddie gloves

I heard today that immediately after the convention she will be headed back to Alaska for some family time. They are going to try and hide her from the press forever.

And that my Prissy friend will allow Obama to be hands off, and allow his pundits (and the media who I don't think took too kindly to being chastised by a man whom they had shown favor to for YEARS) to ask the question - Why is she hiding? This is the Tough Baracuda? Hillary never ran from an interview.

I am not sure that Fox will be her first stop on the interview circuit, but I am curious to see who will get her first interview.

I don't know if y'all watched Larry King last night after that farce of a convetion was over, but two of my favorite political pundits and strategists were on there. Arianna Huffington (of the Huffington Post,) said plainly that the democrats do not need to get into a discussion about this Palin girl's family. She described the 2nd runner up to Miss Alaska as "a major, major distraction." In her words, she said, "A discussion about whether or not Bristol and Levi will live happily ever after, or whether or not Palin was pregnant when she married her "first duuuude," which I nearly cracked my side laughing at, " and other trivial matters are subjects for American Idol." Ms. Huffington said..."If you're going to debate her, debate her on the issues or it could be trouble for the democrats." And she's a FORMER republican. Now, the other who I always enjoy for her ability to get underneath the surface of issues...Katrina Vanden Huevel, said plainly (and I had to write this down it was so on point,) "The attack by the republicans on community organizing, which is about ordinary people from below bringing change and taking on establishment politicians, had a SUBTEXT...it was about URBAN (i.e. black folks) cities, and I think you're gonna see CODED attacks like that from the republican which is, after all, the party of WHITE REFUGE. And at a time in this country with extraordinary demographic shifts, that party in Minn did not represent that shift." I almost jumped up and shouted when she said that, because as y'all know, I have referenced these "codewords" the white right has been and will continue to use to try to mask their racism toward Obama. Vanden Huevel also talked about how we (and the media) need to look below the surface of Ms. Palin because, as she stated, she comes from a very extremist background...and she does! All this gun-totin', anti-abortion under ANY circumstances, banning certain books from libraries, etc. Just like some schit out of Nazi Germany!! She alluded to how the McCain campaign is trying to isolate her from the media so she can't be interviewed and are also trying to sanitize the investigation she's under in Alaska. Once again, Ms. Vanden Huevel called them out for what they are, and unlike the talking heads on CNN, she didn't try to sugar-coat the racism they've injected into this election! Here's a clip of LK from last night: www.cnn.com/video/#/video/bestoftv/2008/09/05/lkl.dems.reaction.mccain.speech.cnn

Supposedly, the radio talk show hosts are saying that Oprah turned down a Palin appearance on her show. It has strongly divided the staff, but Oprah wants no parts of introducing Palin to her audience.
I say do it. Everyone knows you support Barack. It will allow you to ask some tough questions and see how she handles them. I know that Oprah is just protecting her money though. If she's seen beating up on Palin, it could spell doom for her media empire.

She can have or NOT have whomever she chooses. She should tell those folks to go to hell. I would like to see caribou queen come on there and attempt to articulate her experience and her plan. Just make her leave her rifle at home in the double wide.

Yeah, no one is challenging her right to have on whomever she wants. They're arguing that she's SCARED to have her on the show. Apparently, she also vetoed having Clarence Thomas on last year when he was trying to publicize his book.

That just goes to show how silly these folks are. The coal miners sons and daughters have a new heroine, and they are falling all over this mobile home maven!
They outta know Oprah ain't scared of NOBODY! Oprah can tell them backwoods slugs, "I'm a millionaire, bytch! What you got?" LOL!!

Having Palin on the show would be a losing proposition for Oprah. If she asks any substantive questions she will be accused of bashing Palin because she is an Obama supporter.
