Uruh, I mean Hockey Mom (Palin)! I am listening to this lady speak and she needs to bone up on her speaking skills. Her speech is lame and she just sounds straight bitter.

She has been a smartass throughout her whole speech. It's almost like she feels she's playing the dozens and she has to best whatever disses Obama threw their way.

Aside from Huckabee (who would have been a better VP candidate IMO) the entire night was a JOKE!

I don't know, people. I thought the speech was mediocre at best, WACK at worst. But these 25/20s are all over the airwaves FAWNING over how awesome it is, how she's a force to be reckoned with, how now they see why McCain picked her, blase' blase'.

Can't say... I don't think McCain was a good candiate. He's not! I'm just saying if he were going to try and strengthen the ticket with a strong VP, Sarah Palin was NOT it. There were others who would have been better.

...she was definately angry, however she laid out the argument that she has more experience being gov verus a community activitist, balance a budet, family (this is very questionable), so now its a matter of how Obama will respond.

He said he doesn't think she would have accepted for fear of having her "sista" card pulled.

For some reason, I feel this race is between her and Barack. She made it personal. Bush won 11% of the black vote in 2004 (18% in Ohio) which put him over the top. Any black person who votes for her, should be ashamed.

It seems like the entire night was full of bitter people. Each speech became more negative, not saying much about themselves, but a lot to say about the opponent.

Although I actually enjoyed her speach, and while I guess it would be nice for a woman to finally hold a roll of political power in this country, we are standing on the forefront of history.

@eager - Number of white women who have held the office of Governor - 29
Number of women of color - 0
Number of men of color - 2 (not counting David Patterson)
I believe women have had a share of power.

@eager - Could you imagine a black woman with five kids and a teenage daughter who is pregnant being given the love that Ms. Palin is getting from the right wing?

@eager - Could you imagine a black woman with five kids and a teenage daughter who is pregnant being given the love that Ms. Palin is getting from the right wing? F**k naw! We all know that if she were black, the thought of well fare and baby daddies would be in the back of their minds. She would be a statistic, and even if she came from the most affluent family, received the best education, a Clair Huxtable so to speak, they would try and find some way to bring her down. Black women don't get any breaks at all!!!! And when you write about the reality of it all, you are attacked for being un -American. Since when did being honest become un-American? And people wonder why we are so angry!
