So did anyone see the Oprah, Cosby Kids Reunion? I must say that Tempest Bledsoe looked AMAZING (everyone else did also, but she looked extremely healthy and happy since the last time I saw her in person).
So Lisa Bonet didn't show up due to just having a baby (like she would have come anyway, lol)! I wonder who is the father? Anyone know?

I saw the last ten minutes of the show, and I agree that Tempest looks nice. I wish that Bill and Phylica(sp) were on the set, because I am certain they would have had fun making jokes and just being funny. I think Lisa would have been on the show, I do not beleive their is any bad blood between Bill and herself.

Unfortunately Lisa and Bill were not on good terms and up until recently, it was made clear that Lisa did not want to talk about the show. Bill was still very vocal about decisions Lisa made (the movie Angel Heart, a poor attitude and rebellious spirit on the set, getting pregnant then married at a young age, instead of running with a Different World...) They were definitely beefing because Bill asserted himself as a father figure and he was extremely strict. While that jived with most of the cast, some such as Lisa and cockroach (Carl Paine, I believe is his name, beefed with Bill because he was expected to keep his hair cut low and to Bill's chagrin, Carl Paine refused. He was reportedly fired for his defiance) who came from a more liberal family, were not happy with him and became disillusioned about the show.

I never knew that Carl Payne a.k.a. "cockroach" had a any problems with Bill. Yeah,to hear Carl tell it,Bill fired him because of a certain haircut. I just think Bill thought it would take away attention from Mal-Jam. Carl didnt know how to do the "sidekick" role. You never outshine the star. Like on "I Love Lucy",it was in the contract that Ethel always had to weigh 20 more pounds than Lucy! "227" is a great example of a co-start outshining the star. Tell the truth, who was more funny: Marla Gibbs or Jackee???

With Theo and cockroach, I never got the impresssion that cockroach was "outshining" Theo. They just seemed to be two silly peas in a pod. They complimented each other, which was a postive for the show.
On the I Love Lucy, I have heard and read about Ethel needing to weigh more, but she was still funny. Her apperance was not relevant for the show.
On 227, it was really obvious that Sandra was the star, had the funniest lines, wore the better clothes, she was just interesting and people wanted to know more about her.
