That's right... you heard me up 6 points. Even with McCain running ads during the Democratic convention. Even with GOP operatives needling Clinton supporters. Even though Barack hasn't even ADDRESSED the convention yet.
www.gallup.com/poll/109897/Gallup-Daily-Obama-Moves-Ahead-48-42.aspx www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2008/president/us/general_election_mccain_vs_obama-225.html www.pollingreport.com/wh08gen.htm
This is with Clinton supporters still angry and without Bill and Hillary having a chance to go on the campaign trail for him yet . Strange that the networks aren't reporting this bounce. I realize it's only one poll... but Zogby was only one poll as well and they bally-hooed when it said McCain was up 5 didn't they?
I say all this to say - People prospects look good. This is obviously not the end-all-be-all of polls. Obama will probably go up even more after his address and McCain will get a bump after his convention.
Just be comforted in the fact. Obama is leading and has been leading consistently - and he's not even counting on the poll numbers that have him ahead - he's already planning to turn out voter demographics that are likely under-represented in polls this election year.
;D ;D ;D ;D

He is running a real smart campaign.
He is soliciting volunteers tonight, that was part of the plan of moving it to the huge stadium. I just got a text from his campaign asking me to volunteer. I assume they are texting everyone who signed up the VP announcement. He is definately capitalizing on his community organization background.
