The polls are depressing. At least he is ahead in most of them. My hope is that his support is underreported because a lot of the younger voters do not have landlines.

The polls would be depressing if he was BEHIND. A week or so ago all anyone was talking about was McCain being ahead 5. Where is ahead now?
Most polls have it tied or close and ALOT of that is due to disgruntled Hillary supporters. 17% of them said they would be voting for McCain prior to Barack naming his VP selection. 29% of them are saying it now.
McCain isn't surging - the Democrats just have to tap down their own tent. We do that - and we win this thing going away. They need to take the focus off of whether Barack is a celebrity and make McCain answer the Bush question? Do you want to continue the Bush legacy? Do you want a conservative Supreme Court? Do you want Roe v Wade over turned? Do you want the world to turn against us for trying to extend the Iraqi occupation? If so - vote for McCain.

Once again, Damie is on point! This says it all right here: Do you want Roe v Wade over turned? If those Hildegard banshees with their shrill screams about not voting for Obama would take ONE second and think about THAT ^^ issue alone, I'd bet they shut their asses up, hold their noses and vote for Obama, because I'm telling y'all...if McCain is elected, by the time he appoints another 2-3 ultra conservative judges to that supreme court, a woman's right to choose will go the way of the Edsel...and you know what will be next? The overturning of the Civil Rights Act of 1964! Folks better wake up and smell the bacon and grits!!!
