Please join the ladies of Omega Omicron E-Sorority, Inc. for its Back-to-School Health Fair and Power Packs Program.
On Thursday, August 14, 2008, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. the ladies of Powder Blue and Buttercream will host a special e-health fair to help our children get ready for the new school year. Our goal is to reduce the number of children who are late to return to school in the fall because of health care issues or lack of school supplies.
The health fair is a one-stop shop for free physical examinations, immunizations, diabetes screenings, blood pressure readings, cholesterol tests, vision exams, dental services and HIV testing. Information about the importance of healthy eating habits, physical activity and general hygiene will also be disseminated. The health fair features games, face painting and other fun activities.
Knowledge is Power! Each child that attends the Omega Omicron E-Sorority, Inc. Back to School Health Fair will be provided with a "Power Pack," a new backpack full of study books, sample tests, pencils, pens, notebooks, rulers, calculators, crayons, glue, and other school supplies. It is our hope that this program will pack kids with the power they need to succeed for the school year.
Donations of school supplies are being accepted at the OnOlympus Campus Center, Hazerville Hospital and the Hazerville Library. Look for the boxes next to Powder Blue and Buttercream balloons or see any OO e-Soror for assistance.
This event is free and open to the e-public. Families and e-community residents are encouraged to attend. We look forward to e-seeing you!
