For one, I'm glad to see the old Cube back...damn that reminded me of AmeriKKKa's Most Wanted. I completely understand the point about Gangsta Rap often being the scapegoat when in fact the conditions preceeded the lyrics were written. Crack was there BEFORE: It was once said by a man who couldn't quit;

Livin’ in Compton, California, CA I know when I heard Dope Man...for me, being from South Central/Compton those lyrics were REAL shid. They were truly speaking/reporting about what took place in the hood. The problem I have is that along the way, we've gone from just giving an expose of inner city life to "gloryifing" it...and regardless of what anybody says....there is a danger in that. So feelin this. Hope some of the youngsters will listen to this and TAKE NOTES. Cube is staying true to who he is and has always been and doin it with "Been in the game for 20 years, GROWN MAN" swagger! And that track has Dre ALL OVER IT.
Heard a new track by LL the other day. Unfortunately, it's straight TRASH. Sigh........everybody ain't still got it like CUBE!!!!!
But LL still has the body...OH YES HE DOES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ice Cube is an OG of Gansta Music. Almost all of NWA lyrics were written by him and when he left they fell off. ICE CUBE & THE LYNC MOB!!!!
