{~~ enjoyed it.
Hope they ain't purge his tail from the voting register. That's the new shennanigans fresh for 08. 'Stead of throwing out perfectly good votes like in Bush v. Gore, this time they're purging voter rolls. It's perfectly legal. And even if you voted in the primary, you can show up to the polls on the big day and the old white lady they got to man the location will be like "We never heard of you."

I can kinda appreciate what Luda is trying to do, but for right now, I want him to get somewhere and shut the hell up!!!
He should know as well as anyone else that these "west virginians" are using ANY and EVERYTHING that anyone who is associated with Obama, met him in college, took his picture at an airport, shook his hand at rally, stood next to him at the urinal in the men's room, etc....against him as if he himself said it.
With The Mummy (McCain) playing the "race card" although very subtly in his new attack ads, these folks who want to help Obama need to wait until after the election, and then Luda can cut as many tracks as he wants doggin' these inbred crackas out!
But in the meantime, he needs to lay low!!

Nah, I am not feeling it. I feel like Luda needs to sit down and shut up, let the grown folks handle this. Luda's lifestyle is not going to change much regardless of who takes office. He is not intelligent or sophisticated enough to understand that folks will be using this against Obama. It is going to be hard for some white folks to vote for Obama. The Rethuglicans are going to try and link this to him, fair or not, they will do it. They recently tried to link him to high gas prices...ridiculous, but they are doing it and to people who only listen to soundbites and don't research issues, they will buy it.

Knowing personally, Chris isnt dumb, at all...by far... but perhaps everyone should hold off until AFTER the elections to "speak their piece" though.

I do not think his intention was to harm or hurt Obama's campaign, however with the very sensitive, very political correct media today, that could have been saved for now.

Yeah, I agree and I was just about to say that Ludacris is not dumb. Him calling Hillary a bytch was out of line though. There's a time and place for everything and this is not one of those times. I guess he missed all that happened around that McCain (I think) supporter calling her a bytch. She did some ridiculous ish during her campaign but the fact that she got that far says a lot. White or not, as a female she's accomplished a lot in a male dominated area.

Question?
Why are we so quick to say downplay anyone who is tyring to be positive towards this man's campaign?
Yes, I understand that those idiots will turn it against him, but when he, Obama himself can tell these artists and other individuals to stop, they have every right to express how they feel.

Well IMO him calling ANY woman a bytch is wrong. Ludacris is no fool and I'm sure his vocabulary is extensive enough to get his point across without calling Hillary Clinton a bytch. Obama didn't like the song either.... ap.google.com/article/ALeqM5iUvX6-25f1px7sL4VpPg2RaIX3-QD929GFLG0I agree with the message and the making of the song because this is all that some folks will listen to. If this is what gets 100 more people involved in the political process then GREAT. LogAKAlly <3'n Keef: HURSH for talking about "Plus..Luda done more for light skinned Dudes then dat last 2 light skinnt rappers!!" You are SILLY!!!! And how are you catching up to me in posts? I think I'll exalt you just for that, lol.

Let's just not fall into the political naivete that causes Black people to continue justifying sexism as acceptable and necessary for uplift. We aren't going anywhere worth going with that non-critical nonsense.

This is about something more complex than Ludacris. This election is not about Reverend Wright, Jesse Jackson, Ludacris, etc...... It is about an educated person of color with his equally educated spouse ascending to the highest political office of the land. In order to do this, there must be a coalition of voters across the socio-economic, gender, race spectrum united to elect this man.
There are those who actively seek out ways to play upon and prey upon archaic thought and tell those voters who are on the fence "regardless of his eloquence and intellect, he is still just a n*gga". People of the Clergy, entertainers, and those who consider themselves and are considered activists have a right and duty to call attention conditions and policies that have conspired to leave us mired in stagnation.
On November 12th, 2008 I would not care if Ludacris, Jeezy, or whoever else called for the lynching of all white people. But until that day every white , hispanic, and vote is crucial especially in such a close election. A chance to show the world that people of african american descent can achieve at a global level that does not involved entertainment or sports.
I apolgize for the length of this. I know I am in the minority opinion, but for me, Senator Obama getting elected as president of the United States is more important than Chris Bridges being featured on the "Oreilly Factor" each night as why Senator Obama is not the unifier we knows he will be.
Mr. Bridges is a talented responsible entertainer. No more, no less. Senator Obama is an educated man of color. No more, no less. Let each do what they are here to do.

People are going to continue to say and think whatever they want regardless of who say what when and to whom. If it's not one thing, it's a mickeyfickeynother. It doesnt really matter. Folks who are "looking" for something will find it one way or another. Pretending to be perfect and not expressing your opinion wont change that.

I don't think you would argue that Rev. Wright should continue to express himself. I've met him, know he's smart, and because of that he's probably NOT going to say whatever he thinks for the time being because he can see how it's going to be used against Obama.
Folks may be looking for something against Obama, but they are GREATLY aided when folks provide them with ready ammunition.

I don't know if peoples minds are made up though. Notice how many people joined the Obama camp after he came to their town. He can make an impression on people. Also, notice all of those who are on the fence being swayed away from Senator Obama because of the negative and WRONG information being put out about him being Muslim, a Black radicalist, etc...
Chris calling Hillary a bytch and folks calling white folks 'crackas' on behalf of their support of Obama is no different than those calling Obama a potential terrorist reflect negatively on McCain.

@priss - You have a mind that has been sharpend through specialized education and training to see through the clutter and ignore the background noise. However, there are folks in our republic that believe X-Files is based on a true story. ;D In that grouping there may be a segment of voters that can turn this election towards Senator Obama. They may only represent a small slice , but in this election climate, this small slice can be crucial. Personally, I think Mr. Bridges should absolutely speak out considering what the "fair and balanced" network contributed toward losing his Pepsi sponsorship a few years ago, and other issues regarding how disinformation continues to be spread regarding Senator Obama's beliefs, heritage, etc..... BUTTTTT......... If revenge is a dish best eaten cold, in a few weeks we could actually see Ludacris planning a performance for the Inauguration Parade. ;D President Clinton once brought "Sister Souljah" into the equation in an attempt to demonstrate he was sympathetic to whites who feared black influence in the public discourse. We should not be surprised the Republicans are dusting off the old play book.

As I said initially, I can APPRECIATE what Luda is trying to do, but let's not be fools, people! We have seen how the right wing and the "west virginians" have tried to tie any person Sen. Obama may have said hello to in his lifetime to him, and make their beliefs his beliefs. Let's not allow our voice of support for someone JUST BECAUSE they support the senator from Illinois to de-rationalize our thinking. If you heard Sen. Obama yesterday in Ohio, you know he said it best when (talking about the right-wing,) "They pride themselves in being ignorant." They don't give a schit that 90% of what they say is lies, or twisting of statements he's made to use against him! The only thing they care about is using it to bring down an "uppity" black man who's just a little too articulate, too intelligent, too erudite..and just too damned smooth! It's killing them! I say, let it continue to kill them, but let us NOT give them the bullets to use as ammunition.
