Actor Heath Ledger has been found dead in a Manhattan apartment, New York police tell CNN.
NEW YORK (AP) -- A New York Police Department spokesman says the actor Heath Ledger has been found dead at a downtown Manhattan residence.
A cause of death has not yet been released.
Ledger starred in such movies as "The Patriot," "A Knight's Tale," and "Brokeback Mountain."
He is starring in the new Batman movie this summer as the villan "The Joker."

Really Southie! I was just really shocked. They're making it seem like an accidental overdose. The sad thing is that with the internet and quick spreading of the info, they said some members of his family and friends found out with everyone else. I can't imagine what that's like.

My boyfriend said he heard on one of the satellite radio talks shows that the person who find him *cleaning lady or someone like that* called one of the Olsen twins like 3 times before she called the police. Said that one of the Olsen twins sent over like a swarm of private investigators before the police got there.
Story is, he was taking like 3 drugs from Europe, and 3 drugs prescribed to him here, and the doc. here didn't know about the drugs from Europe, so the interaction was deadly.
Still sad, I loved him in the Patriot.

The entire story is sad, but again I did not know or was not familar with this person. I heard about him in "BrokeBack Mountain" but I never saw the movie. |
