Opens this Friday. I've been hearing all sorts of rumors about it. One of them, if it's true, will make this movie the new high water mark in disappointing movies. I hope it's more disinformation.

The marketing for this thing has been excellent. If they fail to deliver on celluloid - I will be pissed.

I saw some pictures of the supposed "monster". This may be a weird movie, but I'm gonna check it out for sure.

I saw a picture too (looking for more information on the movie). I hope I didn't accidentally discover a spoiler by doing that but either way I'm going Friday.
I'm not going to come back to work on Monday not having seen it and have some geek in my office ruin it for me.

I'm going to check it out on Sat. They did a good marketing it so hopefully it won't be another Sankes On the Plane

i hope it's better than Wolf Creek. That was one of the worst horror/killer movies I've ever seen. It was all hyped up in the previews and ish too.

Can't say anything about WolfCreek's previews had me anticipating that one AL. You have way more hope for horror movies than me lol.

2 more days to Cloverfield
<---= hyping the movie up <---= is doubtful the movie can live up to the hype he is now creating

I agree. it's probably gonna suck, relative to the hype. But I'm gonna see it anyway.

They keep showing more and more in the ads. Like they showed the monster walking past a building and they also show it being shot repeatedly by the army.
I was wondering how they were going to explain why we don't get a good view of the monster but, in one of the clips I saw, apparently it knocks down a building so there is ash, dust, and rubble everywhere (like after 9/11). So you got all this dust in the air AND it's night. It makes sense you wouldn't get a clear view of it.

I'm with you on this Damie. This movie LOOKS like it has the potential to either blow my socks off or SEVERELY disappoint me!
......however............the chick with the tig bitties in one of the trailers has my attention......

I thought I was the only one who saw her. I temporarily forgot what the movie was about.
She'll probably get killed in the movie...
...but she'll always live in my e-fantasy

...but she'll always live in my e-fantasy nah...I caught them....her....whatever....I'm hopin' for the obligatory bare boob shot from her that you tend to find in horor flix. Maybe one of em will pop out as she stumbles and falls as she's running from the monster.....or maybe we can get her in a love scene with....whoever....because she's emotionally distraught and filled with fear and needs TLC to regain emotional balance.....yeah I like that....

LOL @ Emotional balance. I'm going to try to use that in a conversation at work today. I don't know how it's going turn out but I'm going to try it anway.
For this movie I think JJ Abrams used mostly unknown actors. We'll find out who she is in the credits.
It may have been a stroke of genius on his part too. Using unknown actors, keeps the costs down, keeps the director from having to deal with Hollywood egos (these kids are unknown and probably just happy for the part), also with them being unknown, the celebrity of the actors doesn't overshadow or take away from the main movie.
But back to ol' girl... I'm not sure how they could work a shower scene into the movie... but you know... I wouldn't mind seeing her in one.
I'm just saying.

lol....good luck with that....
the stroke of genius is gonna be in the writing. the script and screenplay will make or break this joint. I just don't need this to be another "Blair Witch Project."
I can't see a shower scene, but I can definitely see the obligatory "drunk, hot girl gettin' seduced at the party and taken to some back room to get banged out" scene. And riiiiight before she gets touched, the monster pops up. but no worries! her shirt....will come off before then....I'm hopin' Abrams shares my vision.....

LOL - good luck to you on that.
It looks like the monster shows up before any drunken back room trysts can take place. But you SHOULD shower before you go to the party, and as I think she'll play an intricate role in the movie (even though I think she'll also be off-ed) I think we should watch her character development starting with a steam filled bathroom as she takes a shower...
<---= just thought of something
When they do shower scenes in the movie, how do they keep the lenses from fogging up? Are the people showering in non-hot water?

Yes!!! Yes!!! good character developement of chicks with noticeable knockers ALAWAYS starts with us seeing what she's workin' with! I absolutely agree!
lol...good question....I dunno but uh......in the grand scheme of seeing boobs on film.....as long as they keep em coming.....does it matter? lol!
seriously, it may be luke warm water and some type of steam machine....or somethin'.....

Well I was actually thinking about the possibility of perkiness if cold water was being used...
...but you're right, in the end... what matters is that they're visible. (Unless they're lopsided, sagging, and have spider veins... then you can keep them bad boys to yourself - no I do not want to cop a feel... I might get gout or scurvy or something)

lol @ spider veins....those will ruin' the mamarical experience....nothing worse than a pair of dissapointing titays.....especially ones with pre-exposure potential
