When you are happy within yourself, you have no desire or need to see the downfall of others. When you feel good and are truly happy within yourself, it is such a good feeling, you want the world to feel it with you. And it all begins with SELF-LOVE. Love yourself! See, ladies! It all begins with an affirmation--Something you say over and over again to center you and give you balance when things get a lil' shaky! ;D Flossell, I am so proud of you for stepping out of your comfort zone and serving as a TESTimony for the rest of us ladies. ;D *The audience applauds*Now ladies, I want to speak to you about building on the progress we have made in stepping out of the negativity and in to the beautiful world of truly loving yourself and living you life to its fullest!
I am going to give you my step-by-step guide to building and maintaining high self-esteem. my assistants are passing out the Women's Faith Tabernacle Potter's House Church of God in Christ's Guide to Building Self-Esteem
Step 1) Face your fears - challenges seem scary but your fears are usually exagerated. Facing your fears increases your confidence and boosts your esteem. We just did this with Flossell stepping before you as a naked, vulnerable soul and blossiming into a strong confident woman! ;D
Step 2) Forget your failures - learn from them. Avoid making the same mistakes again but don't limit yourself by assuming you failed before so you can't succeed this time. Try again, you're wiser and stronger. Don't be trapped in the past! Show me a perfect person and I show you a liar! Perfection is always our goal, but we all fall short at one time or another. This is the time in which we need each other most! Remember that!
Step 3) Know what you want and ask for it - Learn about being assertive - you deserve your dreams to come true! Remember this old saying: We have the power to shrink our dreams to fit reality or the power to stretch our reality to fit our dreams. Dream big and work smart to achieve that goal and the good Lawd will take care of the rest!
Step 4) Reward yourself when you succeed. No-one else will! Isn't everything easier when you take time to help yourself? Make a list of your successes and focus on the positive. There have been times whn the only person I had in my corner was ME! You learn to love yourself and you will become your own biggest supporter, even in the worst of times!
Step 5) Talk - We often make assumptions about a situation or person which are not true. Your attitude and behavior can be negatively affected so if you have any doubt or questions, ask and don't assume you know why or how. We all need help at times. If you have an issue and you can't talk to a counselor at the center, your mother, sister or best friend, come to Women's Faith Tabernacle Potter's House Church of God in Christ and if we can get the answer for yuo, we will help you find someone who will! ;D
Step 6) Don't be defeated! Try something else. You are not going to be defeated by one failed attempt are you? Doesn't everyone fail before they succeed? All you need is a different approach. Try. Try. Try. Try. Try. Just because you aren't meant to be a lawyer does not mean you can't be a paralegal. Or a corrections administrator. Sometimes what we want for ourselves is not in God's plan. The more you grow in the Spirit, the more clearly you will be able to see and follow God's plan for you.
