Right?  ??  There is so much that I did that got ignored. That goes to show you that history reflects the memory and biases of the writer(s). There is so much more out there...yall. There realy is. I like this thread...even though no one mentioned me in the history of OO! well spill it. As a matter of fact, go to general and creat a "Remember When....." thread. That's what I want yall to call it. Remember When..... And type all of your OO memories and stories so that us "new" folks can revel in your history. And maybe these new school old heads (myself excluded cause i act like i got some sense lol) will learn what it is to be a TRUE OOain) Gone now. Git!!! Go create the thread. I can't create it cause I wasn't there. That would just be retarded. |

First this isnt a list. Secondly, I was the top poster on OO retired my name , started a new screen name that reached the top ranks. Within that time frame there wer emany things that I contributed to the board that even you use now...that I was not credited for because of the person who wrote the history. I saw it when it was first written and I ignored it. But when given an open to speak on it I did. I don't feel left out because this is just the internet(s). I was just speaking what I felt was the truth.  That's the problem with lists. Someone ALWAYS feels left out. It's unavoidable. |

My comment wasn't directed at you specifically because I think Madea also mentioned not being mentioned.
I would disagree that this is a list of sorts. This retelling, anonymous 15's, top poster lists, all reflect various posters' memories and connections to people/topics.
Take credit for what's yours. That wasn't my point. All I'm saying is that everyone who spends time here wants to feel like their time/posts are valued by the OO/OOA community. Any threads that get into calling out posters' contributions individually always result in someone feeling left out. There hasn't been a thread I've seen yet that called out posters by name that someone hasn't come in and said they didn't see their name and felt some kinda way about it.

I just read my original response that Damie replied too. I was being a tad bit dramatical with "there is so much more out there yall". ROFL! That is why I can not be here often. I don't take half of what is being said seriously and I forget that other do. With that being said there are several things that Im sure that I began that others were credited for. Also, there are things left out that I was involved in. It's all gravy. Not that important. I shouldn't have responded in the first place. That's what happens when you are trying to get your post count up.  |

So I just saw something else that reminded me of this. I was the first person to call Leja--Ledra. Nupie picked up on it and would say it mockingly. LOL
That's how I remember it gaining momentum.
Also, Spring started the Hot Seat which may or may not have been a spin off of my 21 questions( A Late Nighy Crew's favorite)thread which preceded it.
By the way I was an original member of the Late Night Crew, with Narci,Pain Golden, Goalie<my original etwin and Tani (as I remember it). However, it was totally fueled by Madea/Lumi/Rere (who I believe started the thread but I am unsure)
Damie started the Love Seat for the women. I thought it would only be fair that we did one for the guys. So I started the Respect Seat.
Also, Queen put up an avi of her lips making reference to her gloss. So I recruited all the ladies to do join in on the "my lip gloss is popping" avi trend which presented the lips of ladies on OO featuring their favorite lipstick or ligloss. That was right at the time that I retired Outofthedust. I remember leaving one lip picture there and starting another lip picture under my new screen name Outtiegirl. LOL
I want to say those are the days, but my memories of OO aren't all that great, although I did enjoy gamma phi and my e-sorors that I obtained. Most of them I now consider real life friends that I talk to on a regular basis.
