Ok people,
I've been on a monthy or so getting to know y'all and I have questions. What was OO? How'd it get started? How'd you come up with the name? Why the switch to OOA? It sounds like y'all know each other in real life, do you? Other latecomers might be interested in these details too so I thought I'd ask.
Y'all run a tight ship around here. Big ups to the admins. Thanks for setting this up and being so hospitable to newcomers.....................

Once upon a time long ago there was a board (and still is one) called stophazing. A group of the posters there frequented it and socialized, to the point where their conversations dominated the board. The board administrator was forced to create an alternate universe for them to reside to allow others to continue discussing hazing while said group started their spin off.
The name OnOlympus was suggested by ENewton (an Alpha) if I'm not mistaken. All of this is B.D. (Before Damie). I came right on the heels of the exodus.
OnOlympus grew and blossomed... the first in house Moderator of OO was Camel. There are only a few of the original crew...
Bigs, Cold, Cam, Lady What, Juicy, Leja, Frozen, Denounced, Water. I might be missing some but they were the originals. Later others joined. OO gave birth to G9... as G9's creator Tux was an OO regular. In fact many posters on G9 are/were OO regulars. Tux left OO to become king of G9 and took a few posters with him (Narci, Dream, PH, Verse, Dope Boy Fresh) but some of them retained dual citizenship
Eventually OO reached critical mass (actually what happened was someone attacked the server - some suggested it was a simple DOS attack - some claim it was Tux - some refute it anyway) OO reached critical mass and crashed.
After 2 attempts to restart OO, the moderator from Stophazing (whose screen name was StopHazing) gave up and prepared to take legal measures against the attackers.
There was sketpicism that Tux was involved and so when the new OOA (A standing for Alumini) rose from the ashes he was banned from entering.
OO remained a closed site for awhile, and then gradually opened up - looking for new blood and/or agitants to stir things up. A few posters went back to StopHazing to let know folks know of the new address.
In all this time OO/OOA has invented

It's an abbreviated history. Alot of stuff has happened in between there.
