Alrignt, ya'll. Who listens to Warren Ballentine? I am listening for the first time now.
What's his style like? Why or why don't you like him?
I understand that he was the voice behind that crazy "blackout" that was supposed to happen in November. I'on know about that one.

He is actually getting better. He does address the issues that are important to black folks and he has passion.
When he first started, I thought he was a little inexperienced. He would allow callers to go off on tangents and would not reel them in. Then at the end of some foolishness the caller would say, he would say something like "yeah, that's true my brother", basically give them a verbal high five.
He was the brain behind the blackout. I question that because if folks stop shopping for one day, that is not going to affect anyone. If I don't buy milk on Friday, but I make up for it by buying milk on Saturday--the weekly financial reports for Kroger won't show a blip. I thought that idea was harebrained and foolish, but he is getting better.
He is also a Sigma, which he has mentioned on several occasions.

Kewl. I like listening to talk radio where the talkers actually have something to contribute to the convo themselves. I wish shows like this were on the more popular stations!
I spent almost 10 mins finding a station that worked so I could listen!

I really don't like this show. I haven't listened in months, but it always felt like he really had no idea what he was talking about (moreso than the typical talk radio host). I was REALLY disappointed that his show is what replaced Michael Eric Dyson...I used to love listening to him.

Quiet, don't listen to Auntie Prissy, she old and don't read well these days.... Plus, she's the President of the Warren Balantine Fan club...Sessyivy is the VP...LOL! Seriously, I like Warren. But I'll take Dyson any day. Prissy hatin' on the yella fellas... Warren is really on top of black issues, and I respect that...

What makes Mike better than Warren? I have to agree with Prissy on this one. He just uses big words and says very little other than blame The Man for it. I especially despise the way he takes up for the coonery that is now hip hop.

Bill is a hypocrite, but I think we can all agree that he is right. If you don't believe me, come down to my alma mater and chill with today's "Talented Tenth."

Bill is a hypocrite, but i think we can all agree that his message has some validity. ;D Then, too, we can agree that rap, as Dyson sees it, has some validity as well ;D

I used to listen to him everyday when I was at work. Now not so much. He's ok for the most part but there are times when I feel like he starts to rant. There are also a few times where he's said something that wasn't true so it makes me wonder about other stuff he says and what his fact checker is doing.
I never listend to Dyson.

You hush, it was you that provided me with the link to the Warren Balantine fan club. You should know, you are the founder. Oh, and I saw Warren on CNN, he is on the yella side himself.

I'm listening via Innanet and from what I heard, Warren had Lou Dobbs on his show yesterday and Dobbs admitted that he doesn't like Barack for personal reasons.
Did anyone see/hear this and could you relay to me the details??
Ironically, I haven't watched Dobbs in a few days (since I open my mind and flipped to MSNBC and found Chris Matthews and Keith Olberman. Specially Olberman! ;D ).

I'll reteriate....he's a closet racist and Brack is a threat to the status quo in regards to the economy and the racist domestic policies in this country. Dobbs, no matter how you slice it, is part of that quo....Ask your boy Olbermann...

I really haven't watched him since that "cotton-pickin" thing. Just didn't feel right. Olbermann blasted him the other day in a clip in which he said that Obama hadn't apologized at all for the "bitter" remarks and right after Gloria Borger said in her newscast that Obama had spent the entire week apologizing.
His show is informative, but watching other shows has definitely shown me to take Dobbs' "journalism" with a grain of salt.
