PM, black teen gets arrested for killing a cop. in jail AWAITING his hearing, he is asphyxiated (broken bones in his throat) and only 7 officers had access to him

So the family of the slain prisoner sues the county for wrongful death and gets compensated. The family of the officer gets donations for a memorial fund?

So the family of the slain prisoner sues the county for wrongful death and gets compensated. The family of the officer gets donations for a memorial fund? Dude supposedly hit the cop stealing a car or something and dragged the cop, right? (going off the news)...They should've kept their hands off of him...smh... Choking someone with your hands and breaking their neck? Yea, that's a wrongful death. Cops trying to be the judge, jury, and executioner...smh When will these ppl learn?  |

Maybe he ran into the wall or something? Or maybe he had a nightmare and fell out his bed and......nah....Oh oh oh....maybe he was trying out new moves from Americas best Dance Show and fell and hurt himself...Nahhh that sounds like BS too. Suffice to say their is no explanation other than they killed him so we'll see how they get these cats off. I have no faith in the system in these cases. If you can get off when they have you on videotape then its a wrap for most other cases.

I understand the anger on both sides...
Of course the young man was never given a trial and his crime was still 'alleged' so someone needs to go to jail for his murder.
I'm not fond of law enforcement because of the NYPD, but this crime was quite brutal so if he was in fact the perpetrator, I see why folks are mad...
So much to consider too...like even if he did do it, was it his intent to kill?
Oh well, I guess none of that matters now.

This is soooo fucked up because a police in Anne Arundel County just got sentenced for a hit and run some weeks ago. This dude hit a woman with his car and keep it pushing. You have people who get off for manslaughter. Drug Drivers etc. I'm not trying to justify him stealing the car but damn. This is fucked up on alot of levels

Bad deal the whole way around. You wanna give the cops the benefit of the doubt (innocent till proven guilty) but where was that for the accused? Still either way your heart has to go out to the family of the officer and the accused.
There's a lot of questions that are never going to be answered here.

They are now extending the investigation beyond the initia 7 to all employees of the prison that couls have had access to this young man in solitary confinement.
Aren't there cameras? logs?

You kills cops they will start to return the favor. Hell, cops are getting away with murder all the time. If I'm a criminal I would just start offing cops because what difference does it make? You could get whacked on the street or by the police in or out of jail knowing they will get away with it.
