Oh. So ya'll didn't notice how Conservatives are trying to make issue of Obama's "punished with a baby" statement:
Now who the hell is gonna coddle and reward their teenage daughter if she gets pregnant??
I went to high school in the hood and I attended an HBCU. Getting pregnant before you are financially ready and in the prime of your life is NOT CUTE and should not be condoned in any way!!!!
Yes, babies are a precious gift, but they are a gift that are best left where they are until the parents are MARRIED and FINANCIALLY and EMOTIONALLY stable. I know, I know. We all know and love people who had children before they were 100% ready, but think about the quality of life those people could have if they had been more responsible and waited.
I saw nothing wrong with Obama's comment regarding this manner. Especially since more than half of black babies are born to single mothers.
