Join the Lovely Ladies of Omega Omicron E-Sorority, Inc. and the Distinguished Gentlemen of Delta Mu Omicron E-Fraternity, Inc. at 2 p.m. EDT on Thursday, June 19 for our First Annual Juneteenth Celebration.
It was back in the middle of June 1865, that the Union soldiers finally arrived in Galveston, Texas with news that the war had ended and slaves were now free. Note this was 2 1/2 years after the Emancipation Proclamation - which became official January 1, 1863.
What better time to get together for some e-fellowship and fun?! Celebrate our freedom and our people with a good old fashioned cookout and fish fry. We'll have food, drinks, dancing, games and fun! There will also be a special performance by the OOA Umoja Afrikan Dance & Drumming Troupe.
The OO/DMO Juneteenth Celebration will take place on the yard, and go from 2 p.m. until. Come out, enjoy the weather and catch up with old friends. A good time is guaranteed to be had by all!
The entire OOA e-campus and e-community is invited and welcome to attend.
This is another OO/DMO Production
