Okay, so due to the astronomical prices for barrels of oil... it has lead to the cutback in gas spending which has led to less driving.
Due to the surge in energy prices... it has led to the purchase of portable fans and the habit of making sure that those lights are turned off after use...
Now for the impact on criminals...
Due to the constraints on oil prices and energy costs... robbers are having to cut back on there "robberies" because it is getting a bit expense to fill up that '72 Cutlass and they are having to Google Map there "get-away" route; it's imperative that they search for the shortest route back to home-base.
For instance, here are two robbers who are feeling the pinch of the ecomony. No longer are they capable of affording ski masks, panty-hose, or even full halloween masks; but they were capable of scraping together (from there stash) just enough to purchase a pair of thongs as a mask to cover up their identity. If only they had a few more $$$ they probably could have upgraded to bloomers.
Robber 1: How'd I look homes?
Robber 2: Move the string over to the left a little ..... that's it.... I can't see your nose ... now no one will recognize you homes...
