Kwame has an ego and is full or arrogance. Arrogance is putting it mildly for Bro. Kwame.

Sometimes it's good, and sometimes it's STUPID! If Bro. Kilpatrick were being targeted by some right-wing (or left wing) crazies trying to destroy him politically, THEN he'd have reason to fight on. In this case, his undoing is HIS OWN, and in all seriousness, he needs to step down to avoid any further humiliation. He will only succeed in making a caricature of himself...if he hasn't already.

What difference does it make whether or not it is/was some right wing conspiracy? If he did it, he did it...........What about the shame he brings to his family? What about him defrauding his wife? His children will grow up and find this stuff out. If he apologizes and steps down, it would be much easier to explain to the kids/grandkids.

He should step down. This is definately going to interfere with his ability to run the city.
Now would be a good time for his wife to leave too. She can write a book, make a Lifetime movie and get paid!

He will not resign because it admits his guilt (funny I know) and he seems to be the type of cat who will tell folk to F off and leave him be. His attitude appears to be " I banged her, her husband didn't do nothing about it. I fired the police who ratted, continued to bang her and I will get off in this case so back up"

By not resigning, Kwame is only going to bring more shame and humiliation upon himself, his family and the City of Detroit...as I said earlier. And for a city that is catching hell economically (many say due to his poor leadership,) his arrogance and defiance is the LAST thing those people want to see played out in a courtroom...and before a national audience on C-Span, CNN and you know FAUX News will dedicate at least 12 uninterrupted hours to covering it. If I'd never met the brother, and KNEW that he was smarter than he has portrayed himself, I'd chalk him up to being just another "gangsta" trying to play out some kind of gangsta video life in city leadership. But it's dissappointing because he IS a smart brother, and a brother who could have had a very bright political future considering all that is happening with this general election, and the PROSPECT for what we could be witnessing in the White House in the next 8 months. If he had a grain of dignity left, he'd step down, 'cause that trial is gonna get ugly, nasty and stanky! And that's just the prosecuting attorney's opening statements! Dallas, Dynasty and Falcon Crest combined won't have a thing on the drama that will go down in that courtroom!

I heard that there is a Kwame Kilpatrick defense fund set up...
Tell me that is not true. He squandered the tax payers money on SUV's for his wife, trips for his mistress and lawsuit payouts to cover it all up and now he is crying broke? The sad part is that some people will fall for it.

Yesterday on the Steve Harvey Morning Show, Steve was defending him. Now, I really like the show and Steve, but Steve stays standning behind folks who are just plain wrong. Another example, when the Mike Vick story came out, he said he just knew it had to be a lie...
Kwame Kilpatrick needs to suck it up and resign.
