Scarlett Johansson is amazed that Barack Obama has time to return her personal e-mails with 'thoughtful' messages despite his busy schedule.

Michelle may be Barack Obama's wife, but Scarlett Johansson joked she's 'engaged' to presidential contender, seen in St. Louis Tuesday.
Sultry actress Scarlett Johansson finds it "amazing" that Barack Obama has the time to answer her adoring e-mails. But he does, often, with fan messages of his own to the 23-year-old film star.
Johansson, star of such big-screen hits as "Lost in Translation" and "The Nanny Diaries," has campaigned tirelessly for Obama and did a turn in his celebrity-packed "Yes We Can" Internet music video.
"My heart belongs to Barack," she gushed to an Associated Press reporter in January. "I am engaged to Barack Obama," she joked.
The New York-born knockout told Politico.com she has swapped friendly e-mails with the Democratic presidential hopeful for months.
Johansson expressed shock that Obama finds time to respond to her with messages she described as "thoughtful" and more than a brief line or two.
"You'd imagine that someone like the senator who is constantly traveling and constantly ‘on' - how can he return these personal e-mails?" she told the Politico Web site. "But he does, and in his off-time I know he also calls people who have donated the minimum to thank them."
After a particularly tough debate earlier this year, she congratulated him for "holding his ground" in one e-mail. He responded that the questioning was "difficult" and he was being pounded on "one silly question after another."
"I feel like I'm supporting someone, and having a personal dialogue with them, and it's amazing," added Johansson.
Obama told Johansson his favorite performance was her role in "Lost in Translation."
He's a "huge movie lover" and "knows who every actor is," she told Politico.
Johansson plans to keep working for him, including appearances at private fund-raisers. But she may face scheduling conflicts near Election Day if she's busy promoting her next film, due out Oct. 24.
Its presumably irony-free title: "He's Just Not That Into You."

I personally don't want a flat, toned stomach like that--I like the way my ashy stomach jiggles and pokes out.
