*I am new to the board. How do I let everyone know I am here?

Does OOA have a Moderator?

* How do I modify my screen name and siggy?
Click on "profile" at the top.
Then click on "MODIFY PROFILE"
Be sure to save your changes.
*How do I get an avatar?
Click on "profile" at the top.
Then click on "MODIFY PROFILE"
Under personal info you should see AVATAR--select the avatar you want or you can upload a pic with a url. If you want to use your own picture you must upload it to your own server or link it from
existing server such as photobucket, etc.
You will need to enter the url and the height and width of the avatar.
*How do I post a picture in my post?
The pictures you post must be a url. You cannot post a picture in your post from your desktop or network drive. If you prefer to post a picture from your desktop or network drive, it will become an attachment, and the veiwers can click on the attachment to download and view the file.
*I dont want to see avatars, how do I remove/hide them?
Click on "Profile" at the top of the page, then click on "Modify profile"
scroll down to the "show avatars" option, and change it to no
*What are "guests" at the bottom of the page?
Naturally the "guests" are the people that first enter the board for a set period of time.
Most of the time there will be at least one or two guests, and at least one will be a "googlebot".
Currently, this board isnt searchable.
*What is a googlebot?
A googlebot is a search bot used by Google. It collects documents from the web to build a searchable index for the Google search engine.
*Can I create polls? or just admins?
Everyone can create polls.
*Is there a way to get an alert if I get a PM?
If you would like an alert when u receive a PM from a fellow OO-er:
At the top click on "Messages" right in the sentence that says "Hey (your name), you have 0 Messages,
To the very right you will see "PREFERENCES" in the blue bar, click on that.
Under "NOTIFICATIONS" in that screen, select the alerts you wish to receive.
Click on "SAVE PREFERENCES"
* I cant access the Club House! How do I get a password?
If you are qualified for access, ask a fellow OO-er for the password.
If you are a member of a D9 org, you will first need to be verified by another member of your org, and then you can request the relevant passwords from them.
* Are we accepting new OO-ers?
Of course! spread the word. OOA will be opened to full access in a few weeks.
*Can I edit/modify my post?
Sure! In your post, you can click on "modify" in the upper right.
**Can you see my PM's and password, and will you modify my post?
NO! The admins do not know your passwords and there is no way to see your PM's. We also will NOT modify your posts. If we ever need to modify or delete your post, we will notify you via PM first.
*Can I have an alter?
Of course.
*How do I change the color of my screen name?
Click on "profile" at the top
Then click on "MODIFY PROFILE"
You should see a field that says "NAME COLOUR"
PUT in the desired hex code for the color:
Be sure to save your changes.
