Why is it that none of the men are answering whether or not they would stand by their woman? Its hard for me to put myself in that position. I'm thinking in my current state of mind...that of a single man with no commitment. So my initial thought is "I'd leave." But things change if a family, etc. is involved. So it would really depend on the circumstances. Embezzlement? I'd probably stand by her side. Infidelity? That would be tough...but if it was a one time mistake, I'd probably stay. Homosexual activity? I'd ask her to let me join in ;D

But you'd be the laughing stock of the Country Cold....
Manlaw Book Chapter 5, section 1b strickly states:
"...If any man's wife is to step out on him for any reason, and it be known by more than just the parties involved, he is to immediatly put her away, AND stone her (like in the bible) and save whatever remaining pride he has. To stay would be a complete mockery of his ego, and he would then become a SIMP...."

I can't say that I wouldn't stand by her...like all politicians spouses...at least until the situation blows over.
It's a difficult situation to be involved with. First, you have to know what it's like to be married...then you have to know what it was like to be the spouse of a person in the public eye.
Hard to say but what I WONT say is that i'd drop her immediately. I doubt that would happen.

Plus, there is a double standard.
If a Man stays while his wife did the same thing, He'd be called "Stupid, lame, simp..etc..."
But when a woman stays, like in the spitzer case, she's called "Strong, good woman...etc...
BULL

those are all good answers and I guess with speculation none of us know what we would or wouldn't do really...but I know I can be evil and if standing by your side is helping you out after I just found out some mess like this, you better believe I would most likely not be by your side just to get back at you....yeah I know that is immature but so what...

The warden said that she would stand there. But if she has to keep a straight face, then I will have to keep a straight face while shes stabbing me in the leg with a small knife.

Being in the public eye is no joke. Every move your family makes is and will be judged by others. It leaves very little room for error. I know this very well. The situation is bad enough without adding salt (bad pr). With that said.....
I don't have a clue what my wife would do. She is just now getting using to people being in her business just cause of her last name.

Hard to say... maybe once.. but he's been doing this for 8-10 years.. I dont know if I could ever look at him the same again! Then it was hookers too.... I mean basically, in his position, he's publicly humilating me. I could never respect him again... I would probably bounce in this situation.
Did you see her? When he did the resignation... she looks like shes been crying all nite long

I would stand by my man. I would be right there by his side looking REAL pitiful and possibly shedding a few tears because I would be SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO hurt AND ashamed and embarrassed. I would want the WORLD to see me and my pain, my tears and snot. When you're in the public eye you have NO CHOICE!! The media will get you whether you are standing by his side or taking your kids to school so I wouldn't put up a fight - NOT AT ALL!! So when I go to "Gut Punch" (stick him for his papers and give him he!!) his azz EVERYONE would understand why

I couldn't do it. That doesn't mean I would leave the relationship but I am not going to the press conference. It 's always a ploy that "my wife forgave me, so the public should too."

Good point King....
I think your statement is more in line with what people really feel. It's one thing to commit the act (and get caught) it's another for you to parade me around as if everything is ok now.

And plenty of women do deal with this very thing on a daily basis, just not in front of millions...
