Just remember that the only person that knows you better than yourself is our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
We aren't out here to please these people in the streets by putting on an act for forgiveness, trying to prove we are sorry for what we have done.
We are aiming to please God. So as long as you know you have been forgiven in the eyes of God, Why worry about what man thinks?

For example, my "repenting" for smoking weed (years ago ) came not in my confession to God that I was sorry, but in my throwing away my weed stash. What we actually do to turn away is the repentance.
Because "we" keep having the same circular and disjunctive debates over and over...the "real" Christians (please note the drippin sarcasm) berate the "fake" Christians in the MOST unChrist-like manner but in the "Name of the Lord"....it's very embarrassing and downright sickening even. How one can try their best to humilate, castigate, and discriminate in the name of the Lord is beyond anything I can imagine (yea, I channelled Jessie for a second...lol)....If werent a Christian, I'd look at some folks and say, "this is EXACTLY why Im not Christian"...and that is sad. It shouldnt be that way.
In one breath condemn "fake" Christians for not being "true" followers of Christ but do so in a manner that Christ NEVER did nor WOULD do. They actually try to incite the "fake" Christians....get the "fake" Christians angry and then when the "fake" Christians have a HUMAN reaction their insults and abuse the "real" Christians shout, "See? You aint a real Christian. In the name of the Lord!" Then you have "greeks" proud to be "greek" but in the next sentence cosigning with the "real" Christians on how horrible greekdom is.
Im sorry but I just cant take it seriously. Why am I the only one who can see how screwed up this is? Jesus was about about Love. God is a God of Truth and Peace...where is the peace? There is NEVER any peace in this thread...satan is the master of confusion and deception and that is what I almost ALWAYS see (and feel) when I peek in this thread.
I just cant with some of you anymore. I just cant. Im just tired of it...it reminds me of the house n*gga, field n*gga dynamic.....and to be honest, in most cases, I cant tell the difference b/n the "real" and the "fake" when I read some of these posts. Tossing in some scripture and saying "Woosa in the name of the Lord" doesnt overshadow the ill intended content of what is being said.
It's very discouraging and its just not right ...so therefore I sigh...

The only 'bible-beater's' approach that I respect is Jay O's. The rest of ya'll stay trying to condemn folks and do it while quoting scriptures all willy nilly and out of context. God is the only judge.
Frankly, water, denounced, etc...I don't think you do it out of love, but rather because it makes you feel good to seemingly talk down to other folks...Ever heard of the word pontificate? (I think that's how it's spelled.) Well it is derived from the Latin word for priest and refers to people (originally those of the cloth) who are fakely sanctimonious. God doesn't just see 'our' hearts, but yes, yours too. I'm not saying ya'll aren't saved, but I am saying that you're intentions often seem unpure.

@ Priss... Wow, that was a lot to digest, and to a certain degree, I concur with you wholeheartedly. But this is where I respectfully dissent. In this specific thread, Denounced asked Nupey what does repentance mean. Nupey's response was that he said he's sorry. Now, there is not one example in the entire bible where simply saying sorry, yet remaining on the same path is characterized at repentance and in responding to Nupey's perspective on repentance, he replied that he was wrong. I don't think thats calling Nupey a "fake", but it may just be pointing out an error in his theology. Paul went to Peter in Galatians 2 to do the very same thing. Correct him for his wrong theology. Thats why 2 Timothy 3:16 states: "All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness;" Now, you may disagree with the method in which the correction is being applied...lol...but its nonetheless necessary for the body of Christ right! So don't come in here trying to portray Jesus as some silly puddy Savior. There are tons of scriptures where the Apostles do the same thing (MEN) not God directly, rebuking people. Read the description about John the Baptist. Jesus was telling the truth. How peaceful was he when he beat those people in the temple?

So instead of dealing with the real truth placed before you in the scriptures, you are trying to deal with my conscience. The Jesus you gave two characteristics to showed that there was more to him then that in these scriptures.
I simply asked Nupey for a biblical exegesis of REPENTANCE. He did not, but rather gave his defintion. One of which I can understand why.

Nowhere in my post did I mention your comment to Nupey. I don't really care what you asked Nupey or anyone else to explain. And frankly, nobody owes you an explanation regarding their beliefs. People get tired of you constantly trying to challenge everything they say...even if they say something positive or for all extensive purposes, something you'd agree with, you always find a way to turn into something ungodly or attempt (operative word) to tear them down. If you dont see how negative and destructive that is then...eh well so be it.
Similarly, neither was my post directed at ANY particular post or person. YOU chose to respond in a one man chorus. So yea, hit dogs do holla.
What you fail to realize is that I can say or feel whatever I want to with or without basis. I do not need (or seek) your approval. Moreover, no matter HOW hard you try, you can not change the way I feel.
