At the National Press Club.
I for one think it is a good thing that he is speaking out. Realistically, some people were never going to vote for Obama. Folks are discussing things like the fact that he does not wear a flag pin and using that as a reason.
There are some people who liked Obama before the Rev Wright controversy broke, but then began to doubt after that. Rev Wright is an intelligent man and he is truly a man of God. He has an opportunity to let the country see a different man than the one being portrayed on those sound bites.
Folks who have decided not to vote for Obama because of the flag pin, are not going to have their minds changed. People who just didn't understand the black church, or who got scared because of the sound bites, but who otherwise like Obama need to see this side of Wright.

Dangit! I want to hear it!
Rev. Wright is my new Boo! ;D
I already like hin BECAUSE of the sound bites and then his appearance on PBS sealed it for me!
His speech last night was OFF THE CHAIN!!! He really dropped some serious knowledge, none of which will be picked up by the media. They are only going for sensationalism.
I say Rev. Wright for pres-o-den'! ;D

Wright did say he is not running for president, but he is open to the VP spot. He got a lot of laughs, the crowd was very friendly. I like him too.

I just listened to the Press Club address and I can only hear an educated black preacher.
There is nothing racist about his message. I'm starting to think about Obama renouncing him now. I know it was political but.....that man TOLD THE TRUTH!

I know it was political but.....that man TOLD THE TRUTH! This whole thing really highlights the differences in the races. Most black folks are not offended by anything that Wright had to say. White folks are incensed. The lady on Fox news call Wright "very angry", this morning. I don't see anger. I see a man trying to explain himself and his perspective, if anything I would say he is enjoying himself.

Did anyone else think they saw him throw up the hooks during this speech? It was right after he said he served 6 years, how many did Cheney serve?
I swear I saw it, I was trying to catch it again during a replay.

This brings up another theory on Damie's whereabouts, he is serving as advisor to Wright.
