That was the picture that sparked me to ask about chapters requiring new initiates (as part of intake fees) to purchase a suit.....the same suit...a business suit...not a Detroit Special with gators but a black business suit. LOL!!
It looks nice and professional. Down to the shoes.

Thats something that college chapters (at least in my area) are good about. All of the Brothers know how to dress.

I feel you Camel, I think that's a good suggestion. I surprises me the number of grown azz man who don't know how to even buy a suit or what size they wear!

I got kinpeople in the Motor City, and everyone of them has at least 3 pair of gators. The thing I like about that pic is that it has a mixture of the old and the new...the old (very impeccably dressed Alpha brothers,) and the new...the poses. One of the things I liked about being able to dress alike on line, was the black suit day. There is NOTHING like seeing a group of smooth, sharp Sphinxmen walking PERFECTLY in line in their black suites, black ties and white shirts. And don't let 'em have fedoras.....the sistas on the yard would wet themselves.  ;D Cold, you had it right! These Alpha South brothers know how to dress and how to "accessorize." Matter of fact, I need a new black, three-button suit for Jacksonville (regional) myself. |
