How much would you give to your fraternity or sorority and for what purpose?

Members: A revised MIP process, money for the "Member in Need Fund," money to pull from toe defray costs of conferences, etc for YOUNG GRADUATES (dayum, I know we are not in UG... but give us some sort of break.)
Outreach: I would fund additional inner city outreach programs that continue to focus on educational empowerment. Also, I would establish a nationwide wide Summer Camp/ League for girls (note: NATIONWIDE) that would be similar to Leadership Fellows for Middle and High School Girls. Also, would give some(more) to Africare. Also, begin a HBCU grant funding competition. Criteria- must be a struggling HBCU with a corrective action plan. We will fund the resources, monitor the progress, and provide consultation, etc.
I would also make a quarter million dollar donation to the local chapter of EACH org to fund a major inner city project of some sort... Because Baltimore City can use the money, regardless of where it would come from.
Finally, I would pay the dues for my entire chapter for one year.
Those are just some ideas I came up with for now...

LOL i feel you though!
For me, I would give ten million to Alpha and ten million to Alpha Phi Omega. APO would have to spend at least some of the money on an branch office or conference center in Washington, DC. I think that in order to be a true force on the national service scene, they will need access to all the other national non-profits as well as legislators. I'd also like to endow more positions at the national office.
For Alpha....I'd want to see a General Vice-President position, reserved for a collegiate member. That person will serve as a TRUE Vice President and will travel often. Part of my donation would be for a travel fund for this position.
I'd also want our national headquarters to move to DC and the remainder of the funds would probably go toward that.

I'd pay off the House and buy more property in D.C. as an investment. I'd probably invest in a restaurant (hang out spot) where the Bruhz could go any day of the week. Select Bruhz, I would pay for to get life membership and I would definitely set up and endowment for Scholarship, Social Action, and Social Committees. That's probably about it.

I'd give $5 million to GSS and I'd give some amount to my chapter. I don't know how much though. There are certain things that I'd require nationals and my chapter to do though thatI think would really help us out.
The rest is for me, the family, friends and debt

I'd renovate and EXPAND my chapter's facility from top to bottom.
I would establish an accountfoundation for my college and alumni chapters (5 mil each)....granted they (college chapter) can keep their asses out of trouble!
I would purchase at least 3 vehicles for my chapter to be utilized for fraternity business, and purchase a luxury coach bus for travel to conventions and other activities.
5 mil to the national HQ, and a move BACK to Chicago!!!

ALZ is already legally established, but I would copyright our crest, pay for hotel gifts and all our first convention (and set it for 2010) and would pay for everyone to get there at no out of pocket cost to them. I would purchase property for the Frat in Houston, I would take time off to go on a speaking tour at major colleges and universities to promote the Frat. Then I would make a major donation to a charity that has lots of publicity to ensure we get logo spacing. Then I would sponsor some parties in DC, ATL, LA, Miami in the ALZ Party Name (Regal Events Inc.) to again promote the Frat.
BTW all this stuff is in the making money coming from me or no. ALZ is Great so I work daily to make it greater!

I don't know if I would "GIVE" any to the fraternity but what I would do is buy a property like this: www.luxuryrealestate.com/748644or this.. www.luxuryrealestate.com/622043and lease it out most of the year with the funds going into a fund for leadership training. This would not be owned by the fraternity but by an independent board charged with the task of assisting in the total development of leadership qualities in members. Retreats would be held at the property.

With $100M after taxes, I'd endow one undergraduate and one graduate scholarship in my name for Sorors studying accounting through our Educational Advancement Foundation.
I'd also purchase or make a substantial contribution toward purchasing a multi-use facility for my chapter's foundation...which would serve as chapter meeting, program, storage and rental space.

I would establish a chapter endowment for chapter expenses. Then I'd buy us a house in the area of my school and establish a separate fund to pay for the house related expenses. But I'd have to find a way to get them the house, but not have it in the name of the frat so that it can't be taken away in case of a lawsuit or something.
