So I was in Florida Labor Day weekend celebrating my birthday with a few of my friends.
My one friend claims to be a germaphobe. She doesn't touch bathroom door handles with her bare hands, she carries sanitizer with her at all times, she asks for plastic silverware at restaurants (she doesn't trust the silverware, but she trusts the plates).
So it was weird to me that when one of the chicken breast that we were grilling landed on the ground (outside, grass and dirt ground) she said that it was still good and said "30 second rule".
1. It has always been a 10 or less second rule 2. You would think a germaphobe doesn't eat off the ground 3. there is always a 3 in these lists
You think she is faking being a germaphobe?

Yes. Her germaphobia (real word?) is for attention and for show. A real germaphobe wouldn't be caught dead eating, much less touching anything that fell on the ground.

She is not a germaphobe. I am not but I wouldn't eat off the ground.

What Chal said
Also a lot of Germophobes don't eat out. If they do they request that there meals be placed in a to go box and cup.
And there may be more germs carried on an unclean fork/cup used in a public resturant than a piece of chicken off the ground.
