Bags On the Floor

So I LOVE a nice bag. Now I don't have all the bags I want but my collection is respectable. Anyways, I never sit my bag on the ground. People often assume it is because I am superstitious. In truth there is not a superstitious bone in my body. The fact is I am a bit germ-a-phobic and I like to take care of my things. One lady told me I was being silly.

I know when I'm getting ready and after I come home I put my bag on my bed. I do not care to transfer whatever germs might be laying on the ground to the place where I rest my clean body. don't even put it on the floor in my home. Now totes are a different story. They are allowed on the floor but never my bed.

It is also my experience that lower end bags tend to be kept off the floor because "if you sit your purse on the floor you will end up broke" while higher end bags are often put on the floor.

Do any of you ladies keep your bag off the floor because of the yuck factor?

if we're realistic with ourselves, we really don't NEED a bag. every thing of importance can fit in our pockets. it's the"extra" that gives us baggage

Ha ha at "extra" and "baggage". I may not need everything in my bag all the time but it is great to know I am prepared for just about anything that is likely to happen in my day.

I carry a couple cards, keys and phone. All of those fit in my pockets

I have heard of the superstition regarding bags on the floor, but oh well. I don't mind my large bags, carrying cases, on the floor but the purse is always hung up.
