I have heard this before but I am not convinced about the cold water part. Cold items begin to warm up the moment they enter your mouth. I am sure 98.6 degrees is enough to keep things liquid, not to mention all those enzymes.

I hate Cold Water. I only drink room temperature. cold water has a weird effect on my respiratory system. I get congested and my throat dries.
