So I might regret this, however, I simply must know. What is the "PET Speech"? I don't intend to offend anyone, but if I am I can handle being made aware of any transgression. I have looked through countless threads and have not found any answers. Help a sister out, please and thank you.  |

The "PET" speech is really more of a warning than a speech. It's pretty much telling you that we look down on the use of PETs, Post Enhancement Threads, as ways to boost your post count. We show this lack of approval through smiting.
PETs are found in the Games section and are (but not limited to):
"I Need to Up My Posts" Thread
Last Post Wins
Person Above Me
Name Game
Word Game
Movie Dominoes
Song Dominoes
This or That
Get your weight up down, THEN come out and play ;D

I had no idea about the whole P.E.T. thing. It had never occured to me that someone might participate in games to get post count up. I suppose I just wasn't thinking about it that way. Oh well. Now I know. If I am so lucky to make it on line and become a full fledged member I shall ensure I am ALWAYS the last poster to win. *crosses fingers and hopes...* |
