I love dancing! In fact, most mornings I dance in front of my mirror while selecting mood-appropriate underwear for the day.

I don't think I can, but I've been told otherwise. I once asked a friend to teach me, but she refused, saying, "Are you KIDDING me? Chick got moves!!"
I don't believe her. So I dance mostly in private. But let a hot fiyah reggae mix come on and I swear these hips start rolling. lol

LOL!!! And as a kid you didn't know well enough that folks were making a lil monkey out of you. I was the kid who had to sing. But hey, at least they passed out money. As long as I stood there singing, the dollars kept flowing. Especially when I sang The Greatest Love of All and His Eye is On the Sparrow.

Everyone can dance. Some people just dance better than others.
I dance well with some dances and not so well with others (irish folk dancing)

I know plenty of people who say "I can dance, I just choose not to." When I hear that, I summarily presume the person is lying. People who are good dancers also LIKE dancing. I don't believe for a moment that anyone who feels a connection with the music and who feels confident about their dancing ability would actually rather sit and watch. Sometimes you just wanna chill, sure. But if I've known for a year and have NEVER seen you cut a rug. You dance like Elaine or Will Smith in my mind.

I think I'm just too shy. As I mentioned up there, I don't think I can, though others think I can. Therefore, I will say "I can dance, I just choose not to." and YOU, madam Leja, cannot include me in that assumption.

Dancing is really just moving to the rhythm of the beat. Unless your part of the rhythm-less nation, you probably can dance...maybe.
The question is what exactly is "dancing"? You want me to bust out a split and hold you up while you p*ssy pop on a handstand....naw cuz, I don't do that [anymore]. I ain't finna to dry hump you on the dance floor, you can keep that to yourself.
I will get up and two-steps....and depending on my mood and the amount of drank in me, I'll even give you a few dips and turns.

Cabbage Patch Tootsie Rollin Dougie Bankhead Bounch ....Does not count either! Dancing can be anything though. I done seen negros, old and young get on the dance floor to breakdance, 2 step, krump, arm wave, body wave, hyphy, memphis buckin, gliding, tuttin, boogaloo, lockin, poppin, cwalk, soulja boy, walk it out, snappin, and clowning, swimming. Dancing to young folks is anything accompanied by a loud as "Ayeee" and a stupid ass look on the face. Think I even saw someone praise dance on the dance floor once, though it might have been my imagination, I think that's what I saw.
