In fairness, I don't believe the report said she had cocaine in her system at the time of death. Her cause of death was drowning due atherosclerotic heart disease which was complicated by chronic cocaine use. Whether that means her heart was weakened which affected her consciousness and made her drown herself or whether her heart stopped and THEN she took water into her lungs was not clear at all. I've seen some vague-as-hell coroner's reports in the past, but I don't feel that this one sheds any further light on the situation.

"Her cocaine use appeared to have occurred "in the time period just immediately prior to her collapse in the bathtub at the hotel," Chief Coroner Craig Harvey told reporters."
this is what I'm referring to.

I choose C. I feel like people put so much attention on celebrity deaths. Yes, the loss is sad, but I don't think it warrants that kind of attention.

Um, I'm not surprised, but it's sad nonetheless. But I don't really think about Whitney's death much or have the need to follow the story. Frankly when she died I was "shocked" because it was sudden but I wasn't surprised given her lifestyle. It's sad when anybody dies, but when people contribute to their demise because of their behavior or lifestyle it kind of goes with the territory.

Not surprised. Drugs are very hard to shake.
