Are you still giving the side-eye to bi-racial relationships?
To the professional women of OOA, could white/asian/latino men be in your future marriage plans ? How about women like SisSTAR who may approach raising a child w/o a father, would you consider a good white/asian/latino man to either father your child or help you raise him/her?

I could absolutely see a white or asian man in my future marriage plans.

I could absolutely see a white or asian man in my future marriage plans. You gone go and give all that "medium Leja" away to the other side? Dang! Seriously, this not quite par for the course, but fast approaching for black professional women. Why the consideration for outside the race? Intellect?, stability?, connections?....sexual curiosity?

sure, why not? if that's who was made for me, so be it Chal, you don't put out, so you don't count! But really, if you have exclusively dated black men, don't you think you would have to make a conscientous decision to date outside the race?

You gone go and give all that "medium Leja" away to the other side? Dang! lol, I don't see why not. If either of my parents had been closed-minded about such things, I wouldn't be here (in all my medium-wonderfulness) None of those reasons, I'm just...not a bigot.

1. I can't refute your first statement without sounding like some kind of freakazoid so that's neither here nor there. lol
B. That word you used right there, exclusively, means I would have to make a conscientious decision to ONLY date my race. That isn't the case. All of my 'mens' n'nem' weren't straight Zulu from the motherland. I've date brothers with a lil (or a lot of) added flavor.
III. I understand why the attitudes towards interracial relationships remain. Doesn't mean I agree with them. Just means I understand why some feel the way they do. It's pretty much a case by case scenario.

^^ Not necessarily, I'm just saying that a conscientious decision to EXCLUDE those outside the race is bigoted. Has everything to do with the animus behind the decision for exclusivity. Saying "Black is beautiful and I love my people so I want to perpetuate my race" is one thing. Saying "eff all the cracker and chinks, no cream in MY coffee thankyouverymuch" is quite another.
No, I don't consider myself biracial as I am "Black" on both sides. Multi-ethnic though, for sure.

I agree that bigotness is ill-will, but is it neccesarily animus if a person decides to just date and marry and procreate within the race?

I really only date inside my race. I'm not bigoted, but Black men are what I'm attracted to. That being said I'm still single, so I guess it hasn't worked out so well. Maybe I do need to mix it up.

I'm single and have always dated exclusively in my race. As I have grown older, wiser, and have experienced more I have decided to be more open to dating other races.

I find women of colors attractive but I dont think I could ever be in a relationship with a white woman.. I had a white stepmom growing up and that first hand account keeps me away from the pink toes.

My family's attitude about white women (they told me when I was still in high school to never bring home a white girl LOL) and the constant stares, cultural differences, etc. would stop me from being in a serious relationship with one.

ironically my childhood best friend was biracial and he had the dopest mom ever. She was so nice and didn't see "wiggerish".. We all loved Ms. Tricia.

I am relocating to San Antonio where the Hispanic population is 2-3 times that of the Black population sooooo I'm definately open or I will have to continue to be sangle and wait around to choose between the narrow choices of black menses.... You like messicans?

Open to it? Certainly. I am not even trying to say, "Lawd...NOOO. Not him with the blue eyes and blond hair. I KNOW you made him just for me, but I can't Lawd."
SMH.
Truth Moment though: There is something about a BLACK man...
I like black men. And New Yawk latinos.
