I know most of us are single so this may not affect any of you at the moment but.... ITS BONUS SEASON (aka the single person that doesn't get ish back from taxes extra guap season)
How willingly are you (will you be) to tell your spouse about extra cash you may receive via work bonuses?
What if you won an extra 500.00 off a scratchoff? Do you tell?
Would you expect your S.O. to tell you when they come into extra funds?
Do you feel hiding money is dishonest?

Hopefully, I would tell them. Lol, can't imagine why I wouldn't. Unless we were in dire straits, I assume that the bonuses we each earn we get to keep a large portion of them. Otherwise, is it really a "bonus?"

btw, bonus and overtime aren't the same thing to me. It's probably counterintuitive for one spouse to spend inordinate time away from the family in order to earn extra money (everyone sacrifices, here) and then keep it, lol.

Tricky question. There could be a perfectly good reason to have money "stashed" away. To me, "stashing" and "hiding" are two totally different things, so I guess it depends on your definition.

I think unless we have already planned some project, trip etc and put in future bonuses in the budget then I'm ok with you keeping it...
but I will make a mental note of how I see you spend it....
