I believe that most people's decision (married and unmarried) to have children is a selfish one. Most. Not all.
It's just that when folks get married, that legal and hold institution clouds over the wrong that may be in the works. It's OKAY because they are married. (e.g. having 50-eleven kids you cannot support).
I am the product of parents who have been married for probably about 35-38 years...And I believe that I am the product of selfish decisions on at least one of their parts.
As to the particular issue at hand. Is it selfish? Yea, probably, but that makes her no different that most parents at the time of conception. That's the God's honest truth.
Now I would probably NOT intentionally go into a situation knowing that I will be a single parent. My prayer is to be a wife to a God-fearing loving man and then the 2 of us create a child. Things don't always work out the way we pray and hope tho...for soooo many reasons. My thing is, God created the structure and the world (humans in it) mess it up. It is what it is. That doesn't mean, however, that my intentions, goals and pursuits should no longer align with how I KNOW things should be.
I have sooo many thoughts on this one.

As a parent, I'm warning you that you are never going to be ready for a kid. Married or single.
