I stole this term from somebody.. I forget who tho... I'm a term stealer.. I steal terms..
anyway...
I'm a tweeter..> Some of you follow me so you know... I tweet just like I post on here.. very random.... I'm a brother... most of you knew this.. but just in case you didn't.. I'm a brother.. A very southern brother.. A very ratchet southern Brother...
So I have this dilema
My follower base is becoming a little more "diverse" and its making me uneasy...
I was taught manners and I don't discuss certain things in mix company...
I really want tweet about coonish behavior but I have to stop and wonder "what are the wait girls and wait boys thinking when they read this."
I don't mind the diversity.. Reign loves all people... but I'm wondering have I engrossed myself so much in Blake America.. that I can't engage the Waits, Yell-O and others
What are your thoughts?

for reasons like this (bot just a blake and wait issue, tho) i limit access to me via social media. i am quilty of compartmentalizing people and leaving them in their boxes. Very seldom does one cross into another unless [for example] you can be placed in one box, but also qualify for another, or your previous box no longer fits.
All of that to say I feel that social media is a "personal" thing. Therefore, if you are not a part of my "personal" side of life, you don't partake in personal things.

but what if they are... I'm not talking co workers.. I'm talking the Waits you may meet at a Young Professional happy hour or some event... They are associates or friends for that matter... So Social media would be appropriate...
Do you just not get close to the Waits?

Yeah, compartmentalization is what's up. Some spheres of existence just don't need to mix. Thus there is stuff that I would forward on the Twitter that I would not on the Facebook. Much smaller and more exclusive circle on the Twitter. Another potential way around it is to have a ratchet Twitter account, and then a more universal Twitter account.

I have a ratchet account and a professional one... but its hard to be in mix company and a person does a group tweet... "Hey @____ @_____ @______ & @_______ is having fun at Shulas"
They are going to follow that account...

compartmentalization is for simps. I'm only one person. Integrate or die.

I'm trying but I want to talk about you nigs.... really bad.. no such thing as too Black. You are what you are. Say what you feel. but no really, I understand what you're saying. I integrated my personal and business accounts last year and I had similar concerns. But whatever, man. It's Twitter. I'm not a bigtime coon-er or n-word user so I rarely have racial thoughts that I'm afraid to share in mixed company. Occasionally, I wish to make fun of white people and I have to give it a little thought. But overall, I just think of a more clever way to say it and the 25-20s are none the wiser

Why you don't like it.... I think its very PC .... but I hate it for some reason. Maybe because I'm offended that you're misspelling for PC purposes when you can't spell generally.

So Social media would be appropriate... Do you just not get close to the Waits? It isn't that. I'm pretty close to both Blakes and Waits. But, with the exception of OOAers, associates and/or aquaintances don't get my FB/Twitter info. We aren't close enough for you to have that kind of access to me. Should someone slip through the cracks, they are on restricted mode. I don't tweet much at all (i'm gonna work on that) so Twitter really isn't an issue.

And PS, the Egg doesn't tweet much so I don't really worry about it. As for FB I have a "friends" FB page and a more public page. That being said, I don't say much on FB that I wouldn't say IRL.

THIS thread is too d@mn funny! That's too much time and effort to have duplicate accounts so you don't offend this person or that. They should know you and how you roll. Like it or don't follow or friend me...ijs
***Might go reactivate my FB just so I can see what kind of foolishness I have missed***

Segregation then Segregation now Segregation forever!!!!!!
*pause*
Yeah I don't really want to be quoting him.
Still I have separate accounts for a reason, even FB recognizes that everything ain't for everybody and allows you to make posts that only certain people can see. Some things need to be said without filter, and you can't do it with certain people in the room.

I have a professional twitter and a personal twitter.
but from what you are all saying either:
a) I need to have another PC personal account and let only a select from on Ratchet Reign twitter
b) lock my account and only accept blakes
c) screw it.. and cook unPC and all...

I say whatever I want to on my personal account. Anything and everything goes. But I will delete a friends post if I think it would offend the masses. For me my personal FB is my silly, negus and bama friendly zone. Sarcasm and political comments can be made without consequences. It's a place for open and cordial discussion with lots of shenanigans. That being said, I don't act a fool either... just like I wouldn't act crazy out in public. My personal FB page is private, no viewing my pics or my wall or my friends if you're not on my list. My professional FB account is work appropriate for people I like but not folks that need to know all the intimate things about me. I don't post much, but I can friend people that I really don't hang out with or want to know my personal business. I think certain comments that people make can be inappropriate for mixed company and reflect you in a bad light, which is not what you want in your career.
