Tiana's mom was alive. Her father died. Sleeping Beauty's mom was alive as well.

and now that i think about it. Mulan isn't a princess. She wasn't royalty and neither was Shang. He was a soldier or sumthin.

It's more than the princesses. It's the majority of all Disney movies. Most don't have mothers at the start if the movie or she dies at the beginning (Bambi). Some they switch up and knock off the father (The Lion King, and Princess and the Frog). It's a strange phenomenon against parents....mainly mothers. We did a project on it in one of my psychology classes. Disney is a sick dude!
