It's just you. A sitting president is generally not challenged for his party's nomination. So is it just me or does anyone else see a problem with the Democrats only having one candidate running? Oh ok I did know that. So if the Democrats don't want President Obama to re-run they don't put up anyone else?

(In theory) The party doesn't determine who runs...individuals who happen to be members of the party decide whether they want to run. In the past, there have been challengers to sitting presidents from within their parties...but its not common at all. The general idea is that a "new" candidate probably won't have the same level of support as an incumbent (and when there have been challenges from within the party within recent history, this has been exactly what happened). Oh ok I did know that. So if the Democrats don't want President Obama to re-run they don't put up anyone else?

The individuals listed above are hoping to win that nomination.

Yeah, it's considered bad form to run against a sitting president if he's from your party. If Obama wins the next election it'll be weird because errybody will be new on both sides. I wonder if that means more or less potential candidates.
