what are some things that you're seeing guys openly admit to (especially grooming habits) these days that may have taboo back in the day? How does it make you feel?

yo I still live by the code: Male grooming should be done in the privacy on one's home (excluding the barber). I take care of my finger/toe nail situations and pube wildness in the bathroom
Male manicure/pedicures are the norm now. Nigs getting professional manscapes is gaining momentum in the bougie ninga segment.

lol @ pube wildness. What about all-male spas? Places where men can go to get their services done without having to worry about their girlfriend's BFF running in to them and twitpic-ing them wearing those lil paper flip-flops...
I have zero comment on professional manscaping, bougie segment or otherwise.

Men going to have a facial, or any other spa treatment. While this isn't new, "the guys on the southside" did not ever mention needing an astringent. Soap and water was sufficient.
The drunken brunch is the new thing...its almost like hanging out in the alley with a 40. (except the nice linens and silverware are very metro-chic)

O.k the pube wildness is funny...tending that "issue" is acceptable, however if dude shows up with it "highlighted"...ladies please run!

I know dudes who get manicures/pedicures. I have to admit that I laugh to myself when I hear it...to each their own, but its still funny to me.

I admit that I like when a man's feet aren't crusty and I appreciate nails that are clipped (rather than bitten) but I absolutely do NOT want to get the impression that my boyfriend is as interested in grooming as I am.
This also applies to the volume of (non-cologne) potions sitting on the bathroom counter. I dated a guy who had as many potions as I did. I judged him.

A man get an occasional pedicure, I can let slide, don't see nothing wrong with that. If he goes frequently, then he gets the side eye. As far as manicures, I dont see why a man would need to go see the network of Asian friends for that. You can do that by youR damn self....hell if go buy some clear polish if it tickles your fancy that much.
On the flip-side: What about a dude that goes to the barbershop literally every two weeks....do he also gets the side eye? What say you all?

I was going for the average with two weeks, but your right. I know a few people who go to the shop multiple times per week...none of them bald though. If your bald and you need to go to a barbershop that often [or ever], you ought to slap the shit out of your damn self.
They hitting heads for $20 and $30 per pop in the barbershop nowadays...that slowed my pace of going to the shop. Best thing I learned in college was how to cut my own hair...I still need my barber to take care of the back but we have an understanding.

I have a cousin whose finger & toe nails are like eagle talons. Real talk...I would take a man who gets regular mani/pedis over that ANY day!

On the flip-side: What about a dude that goes to the barbershop literally every two weeks....do he also gets the side eye? What say you all? No side-eye there. IMO that is the minimum level of acceptable hair grooming for men (who don't have locs). If I had a son, he'd be at the barber EVERY WEEK - alternating weeks between a lineup/shape-up and full out haircut w/lineup.
