I am in the mindset that whoever asks for the date should pay for it.
This guy has typed (it is on facebook) that he doesn't tolerate a women paying for a date without discussing it with him first because he is the man in the relationship and he should pay.
What is your opinion?

I agree whomever makes the invitation should be willing and able to pay for the date.
Although, when the date actually happens that may not be the case. I don't like to be embarrassed and I don't want to sit there arguing over who is going to pay. So I have made it a point to always have funds available. I won't go on a date if I am broke and don't have enough for food & drinks, gas, or a taxi, and maybe $100 for bail....you never know WHAT may happen.

i say whoever invited. and instead of carrying bail money (because we can't bail ourselves out) I'll just give someone my sister's number so she can 1) Call Aunt Sheena so i can be processed in and almost back out before i get to the station and 2) bring the bail money so I can leave.

sometimes you can't help but to get caught. It is fortunate for my [bad] dates I don't act out the scenes in my head. Instead I tune hime out and give my imagination more attention.

I have never had to pay for a date, even if I say : "we should try ________ restaurant". Not that I would not be willing to pay since it was my idea, but that just doesn't happen. I guess if you go out with a guy that feels since he is the man, its his place no matter what, then go with the flow.
