How much stock do you put in a person's history as an indication of future behavior? I was watching the interview with the Strauss Kahn accuser and she basically said "well yeah I lied about that and that but I'm not lying about this." Are you able to see a person's behavior in discrete and unique situations? What does it take for you to give them the benefit of the doubt?

I give everyone the benefit of the doubt...unless they've shown that they don't deserve it. We've talked on here before about how many lies one has to tell to be considered a liar. If I've known you to be a liar, I'm not willing to view your future behavior as "discrete and unique." Same deal with cheaters, abusers, etc.
