Don Cheadle is 46?!? Wow...he looks GREAT!
White celebrities everywhere probably have their faces on dart boards because they pay lots of money for something that many of us have naturally. It's too bad Vivica Fox doesn't believe this because I think she'd age beautifully.
This is what has helped me: *water, water and more water *not picking at my face *I no longer use harsh stuff on my face *a proper diet *shaving with an electric razor prevents all kinds of skin issues (at least it has for me)

Not prescription face wash, lol
I hear Bun though. Just as soon as I quit using the white man's chemicals on my face, presto smooth-o. Wonder how much of my money Clean & Clear and Neutrogena 'nem have gotten from me over the years...

I also have VEZRY oily skin. The thing that has helped me is KEEPING IT SIMPLE (STUPID). I wash with Cetaphil facewash...the one for all skin types. This joint doesn't even lather. I tone with witch hazel. I moisturize and protect with Cetaphil face lotion (SPF 15 on a normal day) When I have on foundation I wash 1st with the Cetaphil bar soap or the wash for oily skin cuz they lather and I follow with the usual Cetaphil wash. I used African black soap for a while and that also did me quite well. Moderate Acne = GONE..comepletely
Here and there I use Queen Helene's Mint Julep Masque, usually as a spot treatment or to relax my face.
Also I am anal about drying my face and where I lay my face at night to sleep. I dry with paper towel, a new fresh clean sheet each time...no reused face towels. Also I sleep on a fresh pillow case/t-shirt/paper towel every couple of days. I get compliments on my skin with (and especially without) foundation/powder/heavy makeup. AND folks tend to think I'm younger...but that is an oily skin thing I believe, as Reign said.
Oh yea, the only things I shave are my legs and underarms...No razors in sensitive areas for mass hair removal. Ingrown hairs are not a good look. ' BTW I think the saying is or should be, "GOOD black don't crack".

I have oily skin as well. I wash my face with black soap, I also tone with witch hazel. Little shea butter for moisture and my Oil of Olay w/ SPF to top it off.
I have found that an Aloe Vera Plant helps everything-dark spots on face, pimples, infections, EVERYTHING. I keep one on deck its not the prettiest looking thing but definately a good ole skool remedy.

I switched from Neutrogena to Cetaphil and I really, REALLY like it. I thought I had oily skin but I think the Neutrogena was drying my skin out and then my skin would go into overdrive and produce too much oil. Lots of oil=pimples...ugh. I use the bar soap on my skin and it helps with the eczema.

Olay....head to toe....face wash has to have exfoliants because as I am aging I am getting (barely visible but annoying) dry patches on my face. I am a fan of in shower lotions too! But it HAS to be Olay! I will NOT use anything else!! WILL NOT!!!
Hi, I'm Madea, and I'm a label whore! LOL!

I used to use oil of olay when I was younger... I actually like it. Makes your skin soft and not too oily. I'm trying to stay away from parabens and mineral oil so I had to switch it up.

Oh snap I haven't even checked Olay for parabens or mineral oil. I just assumed it didn't have any.
*off to read the back of the bottle*

@ RC, it probably doesn't have mineral oil, but I'm pretty sure it has parabens. But let a sista know.
@ Diva, do you use a particular brand of black soap? I think I'm gonna get me some.

I think I'm gonna get me some. nasabb.com A little goes a LONG way. BTW: I only ordered this once. But it was great while I used it. A little stinging at first. At the time I still had moderate acne and this black soap did a good job of calming my skin and keeping it fairly clear (minimal acne).
