Heard of it? Whatchall know about it? (I'm taking a class later this week, just trying to get thoughts, impressions and an idea of what to expect)

I hear great reviews and even though I own a kettlebell, I have yet to use it. I'm concerned the jerky motions will aggravate my shoulder injury. Try it out for a few weeks and come back and give a personal review.

Kettlebells are great. Just remember the kettlebelll is a weight who's weight is NOT distributed evenly so remember to stabilize yourself and counter balance it. If your core isn't strong when you start using the kettlebell...it will def strengthen your core for you.
I say try the 18 pound ball first and go from there. And please keep a grip on it...it not pretty if it slips ou of your hand.

thanks!! I think I can start with a 14 pound bell since I'm a beginner. IDK whether my core is strong (I'm assuming not, seeing that my "core" is presently surrounded by several centimeters of fat, lol)

LOL at you downgrading Coach's recommendation. Yeah, I picked up an 18 pounder and swung it and was shook. You can always upgrade from the 14 when you get more comfortable Is the gym providing them?

Yes. And I wasn't trying to downgrade, I was just trying to remember the lowest they have at my gym. At any rate, I was mistaken. 18 lbs is the beginner's weight.

The I def want to hear what you think. On the vid I saw they were doing one armed swings and raises and I don't think I could do that with that heavy a weight. Good luck!

I have been taking classes for the last few months and it has done wonders for my shoulders and abs! Try it twice a week and you will notice the difference.

Update: I did that ish on Tuesday. Lit'rally needed help standing and sitting yesterday. Didn't see no parts of a workout last night. Still going through it. Planning to try to run it out of me this evening.

ok, so my second meeting with the 14 lb kettlebells didn't kill me dead. I would like to up it to twice/week. Maybe I'll go back for more torture tomorrow...
