Cold is okay. Chal mentioned her workplace having some serious damage, but I don't believe she was injured.
Anyone else?
Everytime I see photos and videos of that mile long tornado on the news, I get worried. Hopefully the bad weather is done for now.

Today the rain took a break, but we'd been getting pretty bad storms here. My job did take a serious hit, but fortunately it happened through the night when no one was here. There is an area inside of the building where you can literally look up and see the sky.

I was blessed that I nor any of my loved ones were affected...I was only without electricity for a few hours. The destruction is surreal here...just miles away from where I live and work, entire communities were completely destroyed. No homes or businesses left standing. At last count, there are 228 confirmed dead in Alabama alone, over 300 dead total across the country.

That's Good news Cold. Good to hear you and your loved ones are ok.
I have to fight back the tears when I see the pictures and broad casting from the hit areas. I couldn't take hearing that a 3 yr's body was found. Keep these families in your Prayers OO Family.

Glad everyone's OK. I cannot imagine that level of devastation, and in areas that aren't prone to that type of activity. Here in north Georgia we have many dead including a couple of entire families.
Hopefully, those suffering material losses will rebuild and go on. I could lose my home and not be devastated because I've secured those things that I'd be heartbroken if I lost. If have a safe in my basement that has old pictures, important papers, some handed down jewelry, etc. in it, those things that I could not replace if something happened. In the event of a fire or disaster, I have made provisions for protecting those items. I think everyone should consider a safety deposit box or some other method for protecting keepsakes and just insure everything else.

If anyone has trouble with insurance claims or low ball settlements, tell them to get a lawyer and file suit asap.
...just saying

I had to work from home for two days, but I was loving it, lol! My office was without electricity, phones, etc.
My home town where I grew up, now many parts of there did look like a disaster area, my family, neighbors, and friends are good.
