A mistake requires ignorance. An error is a blatant misjudgment. In other words, we should know better now. Our participation in SSO#2 is an error.

Seriously? Hell naw. I at least hope they have NPHC members as judges, I hope this is the ONLY reason why we are participating. If not, hell in a hand basket is where the NPHC is headed, I've been saying this since 2002.

honestly I don't care. I feel like the hype about it this year isn't as big as last year. So if tri delta or pikes win I could care less.

I just hope it doesn't causes an uproar like last year!
Also what I STILL don't understand is how come only the NPHC orgs were featured in the commercial for the first SSO but a white org won..... We'll never know

My "Give-a-Shyt" meter is on or around "1" for this competition. Step or dont step. If you don't step people say you punked out because the 25-20's one last year and you're whining.
If you step, you risk losing to someone that learned how to step last year as a greek unity project.
**shrugs** I really don't care either way.

Results so far: From Charlotte, NC, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. of Clark Atlanta University, and Iota Phi Theta Fraternity, Inc., of Norfolk State University took first place in the mid-Atlantic regional From New York City, NY, Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. of Howard University and Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. of Virginia State University took first place in the northeast regional From Atlanta, GA, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. of Clark Atlanta University and Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. of Morehouse College took first place in the south regional.

I am not sure either, I think it has something to do with moving on to the nexto one, maybe since the deltas didnt win at first, they were able to move on and try again in another region.
ETA: so I asked and was told its kinda like American Idol, if you cannot make the date of one regional, you can travel to another one.. so I guess the Deltas decided to partcipate at the southern one.. who knows, maybe it wad plan, that way the AKA and Delta from Clark would be in the competition finals!

Went to the NYC Competition..waste of $. Zeta's were the ONLY sorority that won. Not sure where the competition was...but oh well.

You lost me here, there is only supposed to be one winner per regional. Do you mean Zetas were the only sorority that even competed there?

Please note, ONLY NPHC ORGS, can particpate this year... they heard you all and are trying to take this back... also, the council has picked judges this year, therefore we have "qualified" judges

In that case they need to run that same commerical they did last year. We were all in that . That's not fair not to have the same promotion cause the others aren't in it. I swear screwed if you do screwed if you don't.

It was always in the judging. Zeta Tau Alpha STOLE the show last year. Yes, there were better than many of the other competing teams, but they weren't better than that particular AKA team which they later gave co-first place to. I don't go to NPHC-only shows. They suck.

I have no problem with taking the money and putting it to good use. No disrespect, but not everyone can summon a new line with the snap of a finger and put 300K in the bank. That 15K prize was alot for our guys last year, and for our Norfolk State chapter this year.
